Bigger dope....Charlie Manuel taking Omar Infante or the idiot AL fans putting dopey Swisher in over Konerko or Youkilis. Even a thread in this forum saying how great that is.....sheesh.....
I have a suggestion, let the Hall of Famers and baseball writers put together the whole team then let the managers manage it. I want the best baseball from the best players this year, not because of what they did 5 years ago or what city they are from.

Odd that you don't here more about Ryan Howard getting a spot over far more deserving guys. I assume that's because he's a decent ballplayer, but he's seventh among NL first basemen in OPS and Runs Created and he's not a particularly good defensive player. And it's not a historical performance thing, because most of the six guys ahead of him (Votto, Pujols, Dunn, Gonzalez, Huff, Fielder) are also veteran stars and are staying home to make room for Howard, who has been ordinary this year and whose dip in production is one of the primary reasons the Phillies are in third place.
