What Are Your Thoughts About Handcuffing Adrian Peterson & Tatum B (1 Viewer)

Tatum Bell looks to be the main RB in Detroit starting the season for at least the first 6 games-

WHILE ...........

Adrian Peterson could be eased into the role as the Vikings main running threat but will most likely take over

four to six games into the season.

if KJ has a tougher time getting back from a bad injury then Bell remains the guy-

Peterson wasn't taken as high as he did to sit so he could be a starter sooner than later-

thoughts ??? opinions ???

anybody else do this or has considered it ??

this could be a 'cheap' way to get a good RB combo-

I own both of them, but not for the potential reasons you stated.

I had the #1 pick in our rookie draft and selected Peterson. I'm stuck with Bell because I locked him up to a multi-year when he was still with Denver.

I did this with AP and Jamal Lewis. I think if you want to get your hands on AP, which I recommend, is to get a # of guys that present good value that are startable. T. Bell, J. Lewis, A. Green, Deuce....these are all great options that can work until AP gets the job. The only problem with Tatum is that if for some reason we're wrong about AP and he doesn't win the job and KJ comes back, you could be in trouble. At least with some of the other lower, good value guys they will still get the ball regardless. Obviously not what you'd want all year long, but that's the "risk" you take with AP for this year. I think it's easily worth the risk.
