What caliber of player should one expect to give up to try and get: (1 Viewer)

I just traded for Benson giving up Dwayne Bowe... It is a deep league (start both 3 RB & 3 WR) so I am taking a chance. Hopefully either him or MJD (my other 3rd RB as of now) can step up some point this year. Benson is still on pace for 300 carries and I don't see that changing.

In my 10 team non-keeper league I traded Benson for Lee Evans.

I already have LJ, Reggie Bush, Willie Parker, & M. Lynch. My best WRs were Branch & Bowe.

Yeah...if only I had a QB, I wouldn't be 1-3 right now. Stupid Brees!

 
An injured Santana Moss to me for Benson is on the table. I don't know what to do. I think Chicago is going to focus on the run this week to take the ball out of their QBs' hands. The question is, do they run with Benson. I think Benson's stock rises dramatically this week or tanks completely. No in between. I wonder if I average those possibilities out and take an risk on a player like Moss.

 
Bensen owner keeps offering me crap trades so I just countered with with Ocho Cinco for Bensen and Javon Walker. :mellow:

 
Someone traded Benson for CJ2 in my league. We are all from Chicago so obviously like having Bears more than others. At first I thought it was a rip but then I thought CJ2 is on the field only half the game since Detroit is loaded at WR and were going to run Benson into the ground now. The bears are going back to the basics for sure. The only problem is Fred Miller is and looks 35 years old.

 
After trying to move Benson for a few days, I finally was able to land a deal. I probably lost out on it but I needed to make a move with J Walker hurt every week. I traded Benson and Todd Heap (who is hurt every single week) for D Branch and H Miller. Like I said, I was looking to unload Benson which I did and I found a number 1 WR to plug in for Walker.

 
I've been trying to move him without any luck at all. I knew I should have traded him when he became the starter in the offseason. At this point Benson owners should only hope that a focus on the running game will bring his value up a tick so that they can dump him for anything they can get. This guy is not an NFL RB and will be out of a job soon.

It amazes me what people "see" sometimes. All the Benson proponents before the season started talked all about how great this guy has looked. Well he looks to me the same as he always did... painfully slow, no moves, and easy to tackle. It doesn't matter how many carries you give the guy. The only value I could see him possibly having at this point would be goal line carries.

 
i saw some games last year where benson didn't look bad; he broke a few mid-range runs in garbage time... which is in fact what made me pick him up (and the fact he was the last 'sure' starter sitting there in the 5th round) But garbage time doesn't seem to be coming to CHI this year, and their defense doesn't look nearly as effective (possibly because the offense can't stay on the field long enough to give them time to breath).

but 2 weeks ago i had a pleasant surprise in my trade offer box and accepted it right away:

Boldin was offered to me straight up for Benson

Agreed - I would LEAP at trading away an injured and non-productive Walker plus a craptastic RB2/decent RB3 like Benson for a top-5, every week starter WR1 like number 85.

I had no idea Walker was even injured when I sent him this trade :bye: but he declined anyway. The guy thinks Benson is LT or something with all these trade offers hes sending people.
 
I just traded Benson and Heap for Branch and Miller. I think he may have gotten the better end of it but I grew tired of Heap and his GTD and needed a WR fill in for J Walker
