What can Brown do for you? (1 Viewer)

With all of the injuries at RB (FJax, Forte, Bradshaw, J. Stewart, J. Charles, S. Jackson, J. Dwyer), difficult matchups (A. Peterson, D. McFadden), unpredictable returns (R. Mathews, M. LeShoure) and early ineffectives (C. Johnson, M. Turner, Az.RBs), Andre Brown may be starting for a lot of fantasy teams this week.

In limited duty this past weekend, Brown ran hard and decisive. He is a big back with decent speed, a good receiver out of the backfield, and, from all reports, he is effective at picking up his blocking assignments.

Brown, not Wilson, should carry the load this week in Bradshaw's absence, with Wilson coming off the bench in the change-of-pace role he has been filling thus far.

I do not expect A. Brown to have sustained value in the NyG offense, but I do believe he can be an effective stop-gap for fantasy teams who are tryig to piece together a lineup with the RB pool thinned so much.

Who are you starting Andre Brown over?

EDITED TO ADD: I see Brown putting up about 18/75, 1 TD, 2 rec/15

I have so far managed to grab him in 3 leagues (and have a claim out for him in a 4th that clears overnight tonight).

In one league I have both Ahmad Bradshaw AND Matt Forte, so I will be starting him there, and am still trying to figure out what to do with my RB2 spot.

In one league I am considering starting him over Steven Jackson, since it is questionable that he will play.

In one league he will be on my bench behind Darren McFadden and Frank Gore (also have Willis McGahee and Fred Jackson in that league).

In the league that clears waivers tonight, if I get him, I will consider starting him over Chris Johnson.

Andre Brown went for 53% of BB $ tonight. The team lost Bradshaw & has Lynch as his RB1 with Hunter as RB2 now. I guess he was forced to spend that high. There were 6 other teams who bid on him (2nd highest was 24%). I bid 18% but since I have Murray, JCharles/Hillis, Alf Morris & Leshoure, I was not desparate.

As for his starting vs Car Thursday, I can see some RBBC developing. Likely a 60% Brown/40% Wilson split depending on how the games flows. If they are in a tight game, I expect to see more of Brown but that is only based on what they did vs Tampa Bay last week.

As for production.... 16 for 60 with a slight chance of a score.... as NYG will rely on Eli and his WR corp to air it out in a high score slugfest.

Starting him over Nicks and Bradshaw with confidence
:lmao:im a bradshaw owner and decided not to bid too much on him. heres my reasoning... giants oline was bad and now is down diehl also. no nicks or hixon. i actually think its gonna be a high scoring game so brown should see alot more snaps than wilson. whoever said 16-60 small chance of a td, maybe a few catches sounds right.

Debating starting him over McFadden. I know ASYS, however McFadden has a tough matchup and has struggled, but..

In one league I'm going against Brown who is being started over DMC.In another league I'm starting Brown over J-Stew/Britt.

I just spent my #2 overall WW pick on him, and in a 16 teamer with most likely no Forte, I'll roll the dice. They should be in catch-up mode, or at least needing to score a lot to keep up with Carolina. Brown should have a nice all around day, and for owners of a Forte, FJax, Bradshaw, etc type of rb, Brown can make a serviceable rb2 for you this week.

Best waiver pick-up yet!! To think I was going to use Andre for one week and then drop him. I may keep him : )) WHOOOOOOOOOOOO

Well it is against CAR so we need to see more. But he's definitely making a mark for more playing time. We could see a timeshare.

dont forget he is a very injury prone player. i regret not bidding high on him but that was the reason i did not

what a roller coaster ride for bradshaw owners the last two weeks. so is this a 60/40 split going forward?
What do you think Coughlin does? I think he still rides Bradshaw when he gets back, probably closer to 75/25. They are similar backs. I don't see it the same as Bradshaw/Jacobs. Coughlin has never been one to "nurse" a guy for fear of further injury. If they play, he's using them.

Carolina D looks bad...but still, Brown is making some cuts out there and then turning on the speed. He looks good!

The question now is whether Brown is a hold or sell high? When Bradshaw gets healthy what do you guys think Brown's role is? If you're selling what are you looking for in return?
