What desperation moves are you making? (1 Viewer)

Teams that need to pretty much win the rest of your regular season games to have a shot at the playoffs...are you making any moves? If so what are you trying to do? Who are guys you're trading away and what lesser guys are you targeting in trades?

In my 1 league where I'm 3-6 I'm trying to sell Percy Harvin for .75 on the $1. With him doubtful this week and on a bye next week he's of no use for me since I need to run the table to make the playoffs. Best offer I've gotten has been Brandon Lloyd from an 8-1 team, which I'm going to accept if nothing better comes along in the next day.

I'm also trying to move DeMarco Murray for guy who are at least playing...but doesn't seem to be a market for either of them.

Debating trading Randall Cobb as well if I can get fair value since I'd like to have someone in my lineup this week since Cobb is on his bye.

I'm still in the hunt but a loss this week puts me out. Based on that I'm trying to upgrade but still retain some keeper value. Looking to trade Graham+Romo (Graham can be kept for a 5th next year in a 14 team league with 2PPR for TE) for P. Manning+Hernandez (he can be kept next year for a 9th). Figure I'm hedging for next year with the keeper value, but getting a nice QB boost that can help if I stay in the playoff picture.

On the flip side, if I was not confident in making the playoffs I'd look to move Julio+something for a keeper guy like Cruz.

If you need to make a splash to get in, maybe flipping a handcuff on your roster to the owner of the main guy for some upside backup. Something like move Kendall Hunter to the Gore owner to get a Hillman/Jaquizz type.

You think Hillman/Quizz will be a better short term help than Hunter? At least Hunter consistently rips off yards when he gets his garbage time carries.

But I'm not sure trading backups for other backups will be what you need to go on a 4-game win streak to make the playoffs.

4-5 Packaging him and Felix for CJ (need RB bad), then realized CJ playing Miami then bye and will probably be out of playoofs anyways, so why bother.

I'm surprised the CJ owner would want that deal.

Fair point, maybe I listen to the FBG podcasts too much. My fear is that Gore is fresher now (and I haven't looked it up, but it feels like he has less carries) than other seasons at this point. I think Hunter's role isn't likely to change. However, I could see Quizz getting more passes out of the backfield or Hillman taking more reps from McGahee to keep him fresh. Then again I'm 4-5 so what the hell do I know?

I traded Murray for Decker straight up this week. I have been sitting on Murray but he isn't helping on my bench as I'm in win now mode. Probably a very favorable trade for me, but the guy who traded me is in second and had Welker, Decker, Ammendola, Walter, and Colston so he had some WR depth to give up. Funny as I type that I just realized that he's hoarding all the white receivers.

I'm 5-4 and in the final playoff spot. I'd love to push a deal to replace Gates with Graham or Gronk. But I'm leading the league in points so I think I'll stand pat.

If we were All Play, I'd be 66-33 and in first.

That's a hefty sum for Gronk. Why not just 1 of those RBs?

He wouldnt take it without both.I think i came out ahead. Upgraded to the #1 TE, and in my flex i now play amendola whom I equate to any of those guys anyway.He is now where I was.. starting Bennett and guessing which of the 3 to play. He had Leshoure and Torrey benched this wekk (as I probably would have).

Sent Graham for Jordy Nelson and Ridley, to my division leader who is 2 games up on me, but has Pitta and Cook at TE. He needed to shore up TE for the playoffs, I needed a WR to replace Nicks and Ridley is a great flex. I will be starting Keller at TE now, I feel I improved overall, and I'm at 5-4, pushing for the playoffs.
