What Do NFL Teams Do On Saturday's? (1 Viewer)

From seeing the silly "fun bets" these guys lose, like Brady wearing the Michigan St. gear, I think a lot of them get together and watch college games........

Not sure what a road team's schedule is like, but I remember going to see the Eagles practice on Saturday morning in 1979. If I remember correctly, it was a walkthrough type of practice, maybe an hour long.

It's not like they give them the day off, though. I'm guessing a lot of meetings.

I believe they have an early morning run through.

Last week I was following Steven Jackson on twitter on Saturday and he mentioned being in the training room early afternoonish and saying there were only a few guys left at the facility.

Morning walkthrough followed by

travel to away game or

report to team hotel by early evening for dinner and last minute meetings...

Typically, there's a meeting at 8:00AM to review Friday's practice, then a walk-thru. Family are usually allowed to be around on Saturdays. If it's a road game, the players will shower & take a bus to the airport. For a home game, they're free until they have to be at the team hotel by 8:00PM.

Once at the hotel, they'll have a meeting about any last minute stuff & go over the Special Teams rotations. After that, they split up into offense & defense, usually watch a video, & tie up any loose ends.

I think they get together on their PS3s and play a game called (I think) Average Joe 2K10. This way they get a tase of what it's like for you and me.
