What do you think of this (Vick/FF related) (1 Viewer)

In a dynasty league were you assign 2/3/4 year contacts to various players. This is our third year.

The Vick owner has been protesting that they should get some relief (The individual had signed Vick to a 4 year contract at the beginning of last year so it still had three years left). The owner wanted to drop Vick (normally if you drop a player you lose that contract) but keep the contract.

Well, after much discussion, the commissioner made an executive decision and voided the Vick contract but let the owner keep the contract so they could sign another player  Which I think is total BS.

The kicker? The owner who had Vick is the commissioners wife :own3d: :lmao: Granted she did take over the team at the beginning of last year but still I think this is wrong very wrong

I had a lot of trouble last year with this league, this season will probably be my last in the league

A rule should be adopted unanimously before anything like that takes place.

I do like a retirement rule for contract leagues and alot of leagues lack them. A guy like Plummer for example, you should get your contract years back for that.

For Vick, I'm OK with things hurting an FF team for a year but beyond that seems like you're making the FF owner pay for his crime or somesuch. Chalk it up like a drug suspension or injury for a year but longer just doesn't sit right.

I am beginning to be a big believer that salary cap leagues are the only way to go. If something like this happens in a cap league, you drop the player before the next season's auction and go buy another QB, just like if you figured the player was becoming overpriced or was not going to have a good year.

Let the laws of economics take care of all these kinds of issues.
