People use the word elite all the time. What does that mean exactly?
What defines elite in a FF QB, RB, WR or TE?

Seems fair. Maybe top 5. Or maybe its just as simple as someone u see has a Hall of Fame lock . I like that one. Elite players are those u see as Hall of Fame locks.Propbably top 3 in their position?

Is that just yards and touchdowns? What else?
It's hilarious that this conversation started with me unwilling to say Kirk Cousins is elite.
This is my last post on the subject, it will not be a fruitful one.
I'll give you what you really want today.
Kirk Cousins is elite.
Strong comment. Interesting. Elite could be those guys when I take first glance at my opponents roster and know I gotta be aware of this guy. Cause he is elite.I'm afraid to face them, no matter the opponent.
They're in the lineup, regardless of opponent.
Don't bother with him dude. He was my first cat fight on the boards. He called me a troll. Guys like that u gotta play by his rules or he says u you burn down orphanages. It's hilarious that this conversation started with me unwilling to say Kirk Cousins is elite.
This is an inaccurate framing.
For me, "elite" in fantasy is a sliding scale dependent on value over replacement. Ceiling and consistency and positional scarcity are also important factors.

Back to "elite" I like the discussion
For me there are three people playing fantasy positions right now who are elite. Travis Kelsey, Christian McCaffrey, and Justin Jefferson. IMHO an elite player is someone who is clearly better than everyone else at his position, and is almost surely a Hall of Famer.
So for you, there is only one elite at each position. Everyone fighting for that one spot. I like it. strong HoF contenders.
What does being in the HOF have to do with Fantasy Production? Aaron Rodgers is a HOF lock, but would you have called him (save the injury jokes) an ELITE fantasy QB going into the season? Is that just yards and touchdowns? What else?
In all honesty I was answering the title. But even in just FF, Rodgers has been elite for a dynasty during his prime. Not usually a top 3 guy but you could plug him in for over a decade. What does being in the HOF have to do with Fantasy Production? Of course it's just Yards and Touchdowns (and lack of ints, or any other way your league gives/takes away fantasy points).
The question was literally about FANTASY FOOTBALL ELITE... so it's about Fantasy Points scored.

Is that like diet ecstasy?I think it's "e-lite"...We just created a new term "minor elite"...ha ha
Could you spell elite without Eli?Was Joe Flacco elite?
You can use it all you want, but I'm taking the copyright credit on that one.We just created a new term "minor elite"...ha ha

Of course he WAS elite.ARodgers was unquestionably elite for many years of his career. Top 1-2 in FF points for a QB in numerous seasons.
