the LenDale crowd, myself included - Chatfield Chargers baby! - has moved to a dynasty outlook for White.

The future back in Tennessee is LenDale, and I believe that he can succeed when given the chance.

I thought Lendale would get some more time once they were out of playoff contention, but Henry's play + the prospect of an all-rookie backfield kind of killed that idea.

Cecil, I respect your opinion, but the guy can't even seem to stay off the injury report. They always seem like minor things too (like a stomach ache?). This leads be to believe the guy is soft. I still say this guy will be a BUST.

It certainly is a concern, no doubt. As many know, I've followed his career since high school (I live near Chatfield), am very good friends with his hs coach Dave Logan, and have chatted with LW on his cell phone many times. So yes, I am incredibly biased. But to say I am not concerned would be an out and out lie. I just can't believe that he is having difficulty getting past TRAVIS HENRY on the depth chart. Perhaps it's pass blocking, perhaps it's injuries, but Henry is a hard nosed player and LW will have to bring his "A" game. This is the NFL, and his work ethic will need to improve. And from what I've heard out of Tennesse is that his work ethic is 1000 times better than it was when he first arrived in camp. One of the big reasons??? Vince Young. VY is showing LW what it takes to make it in the pros.

Sorry, but I laugh when people talk about Travis Henry as some sort of smuck player. I was glad when Henry went to Tenn...I figured he could beat out any of the RBs there (CBrown has a hard time staying healthy)...and still think that is true. He is a hard runner, and is usually pretty durable. The four game suspension definitely hurt him last year. I didn't think a rookie like Lendale would beat him out this year. I think Lendale definitely still has dynasty value though.:2cents:First three years in Buffalo (before McGahee)2001 buf | 13 | 213 729 3.4 4 | 22 179 8.1 0 |2002 buf | 16 | 325 1438 4.4 13 | 43 309 7.2 1 |2003 buf | 15 | 331 1356 4.1 10 | 28 158 5.6 1 |2004 and 2005 definitly were not shining years in his career! :D

I think people were saying the same thing about larry johnson

I don't remember a whole lot of people around here that were on it.
JURB26 and Lauryn Hill for starters.
haven't seen that guy around in a while... he lose a bet or something? As per question, I wish they'd give him more opportunities, but at that, Henry is a great back and vastly underrated. People forget he put up great seasons as the Bills RB, his ONLY problem being fumbling. And now they are all shocked to see him look good again.I think very soon we should see some LenDale, but it looks like they might just be marking some trade bait from the other RBs.Could be completely wrong though, haven't even followed TEN RB situation since beginning of the season.

ONLY problem was the illegal substances. One more puff and gone for a year. Pray he doesn't drink alcohol and drive, fight, or be in the wrong place at the wrong time (IE: not his fault, but was there).

It's 11 games in to his rookie season....relax, he has a great future. Travis Henry has been playing great and the team is competitive. Fisher is going with what has been working.

As an aside, at least Lendale is active each week, the same of which can't be said of Chris Brown.

I think his value was too high while he was going 4th and 5th in rookie drafts in dynasty leagues, but now is the perfect time to buy. I'm jumping on the bandwagon.

I took a flier on him in a couple of leagues this year. I was hopeful that he would at least be emerging as a viable starter by now (probably wishful thinking) and have dropped him from my rosters.

It may be my Henry-colored glasses, but did I miss something, or are you thinking of WR CHRIS HENRY CINCINNATI????

THenry was suspended last year for substance abuse problems. If he's caught again, it'll be a year.To my knowledge, all of CHenry's offenses have been conduct-related.So, he has a valid point I guess. I'm pretty sure that THenry's substance abuse though wasn't an issue until Tennessee? And also to my knowledge, his only real problem in Buffalo was his fumbling problem. He statistically outperformed McGahee in every relevant category when you compare their 2 full seasons starting. To say "oh I can't believe LW can't beat out TRAVIS HENRY" seems ignorant to me.The guy isn't garbage, he's just going through some tough times.
He weighs far less this year than he did last year - you know, when he set the all-time USC TDs record.
Exactly. People sure have selective memory problems...This stuff is really getting quite old guys. It's one thing to be funny, but at least be right. Both of you guys made a joke, and both of you look like idiots because you're completely wrong, yet furthering a false idea.Had either of you spent the five minutes googling the answer instead of just posting the first quip that came to mind, we might have an intelligible discussion by now.

I parked it in my garage though I'm probably going to put it out by the roadside with a For Sale sign on it as he's not looking likely to make my keepers for next year. Which is really why I drafted him, for next year, but we're changing our starting lineup to add another QB and more WRs so now he isn't worth it.

Travis Henry is certainly not a schmuch player. In fact I said that LW would have to bring his "A" game to beat out Henry. TH has obvious value in the NFL. If he can stay healthy and stay out of trouble then he will produce.

The reason I can't believe LW is not at the top of the depth chart speaks volumes about what I think of his ability, not about any sort of disrespect for Henry. As previously stated I think that TH has value in this league. I just happen to think that LW is better, and given the opportunity, could put up better numbers than TH.

Anyone else think this is turning into a Thomas Jones/Cedric Benson situation?
Or McGahee/Henry even?As noted above, McGahee failed to outperform Henry when given the opportunity.Maybe there is more to be said for the "proven" talent. Bird in the hand and all that...

Yeah, I just didn't read it that way.I might be as big of a LW supporter as you, but I am honestly glad to see henry succeeding. He really got dogged.I also agree with you that LW would put up better numbers, but it's hard to bench a guy who is finally breathing life into that running game.Cecil, why do you think it is that White is not starting? You seemed to have the most informed opinion on the matter. Do you think he will get at least one or two starts later this season, regardless of Henry production?

White is the least "soft" of any notable RBs in the last year's draft. He could probably play through some of the recent injuries but Henry is playing well. So there is no need to play a banged up Lendale.

White's work ethic has been very improved, it just seems like a case of 2 steps forward, 1 step back. LW has been impressing in practice, when he's practiced. I don't think he'll get to start at the end of the season, but I do believe that his carries will increase in the final 2 games. he has to be healthy first and foremost.
