Did he delete it?
Hopefully out of respect for him his family. The guy is in the hoispital following an emergency splenectomy, there will be more appropriate times to discuss how he performs on the football field.Edit to add: My prayers go out to the entire Simms family.

I was hesitent to post in this thread but I gotta say what's on my mind. 1. I hope father Phil is on his way down there and gets his son away from Gruden and the Bucs right now...I would tell them to stay away. 2. I blame the Bucs for part of this. They rode Simms into a stage of panic to the point he probably needed to get out of the game this week but he is so scared of Gruden and everyone else that he pushes himself beyond what anyone is capable. Being a Bucsfan I want to try and be objective but it's gonna be hard. Simms is reported out for 2-3 months minimum so he's gone for the season. No matter if Rattay or the rookie start, the Bucs season is really over at this point...but it's disappointing to see Simms go out like this.
This post wouldn't have the same effect if people remembered that a week before, he was posting false rumors about a guy crying in the locker room.Way to back-peddle guy.

1. I put up the Simms thread based on what was said by WDAE 620 in Tampa host Steve Duemig who has a 4 hour radio show from 3-7PM...I didn't make it up, it was said on his radio show and confirmed by several friends I have in Tampa where i used to live.2. Because i put that thread up, I have no right to criticize the bucs and what happened on Sunday? I don't follow the logic one bit. I'm not back peddaling...and if you want to discuss further, please feel free to PM me. Don't single me out in this thread and not expect me to fire back. I work awful hard during the week to get out what I feel is quality info thru the RB match up thread which takes 2-3 hours minimum to work on, as well as the Oddsmaker thread which takes awhile too...please try and curtail the potshots guy...I don't usually P inthe SP often. Thanks

Do you mean, and to put this in your own words, "whimpering like a little baby in the locker room after the game?" :hophead:

really, so what?if joey harrington (god forbid) died tomorrow, i would still think he was ####ty quarterback, and his untimely demise wouldn't make me suddenly say only nice things about him and focus on his one or two good games as a pro.

get over it

Exactly. And if you started a thread about him being a ####ty QB and suddenly he died I don't think you'd erase the thread, and then partially blame the Dolphins for his death. Simms went out there Sunday with something to prove. If you were a Pro QB and there were fans and reporters accusing you of being anything less then a man, you'd have done everything you could yesterday to prove those idiots wrong.

Just as MOP is seeing now, there will be a backlash for Steve Duemig...who is the guy who really deserves it. It's just flat out stupid to question an NFL QB's toughness.

What if that QB is Marc Wilson? Or does he not count as "an NFL QB?"

And just for the record i didn't erase the Simms thread...if it isn't under search then it was taken down by the mods which they reserve the right to do. Posters cannot take down threads on their own once they are started...to my knowedge.

And for the record, let's not clutter the board trying to call out other posters. That's not what we're trying to accomplish here.
