What Happened to Vernand Morency? (1 Viewer)

V Morency was brought in GB to be the 3rd down RB. From what I saw he was adequate last year - not great, not bad. This year, after returning from injury he seemed to do ok once again, especially in the passing game. That's why I thought he was a decent 3rd down back. But now he's barely on the field even on 3rd downs. What's going on? Did he do something to get in the dog house? Or does the coaching staff now believe Grant is better even on third downs? I personally thought the Packers were better off with Grant on 1st and 2nd, and Morency on passing downs.

My question is more NFL-related than fantasy-related since either way Morency is not useful in fantasy.

I thought they just traded one of their junk backs for one of Houston's junk backs. No where was it pre-decided that he was their third down back. Grant seems to do a good job of catching out of the backfield, why take him out if not necessary?

Good Point, and why blame them, spread out Driver, Jennings, Jones, Lee, Martin with Favre making good decisions they're tough to matchup against.
