What have you been offered for Randy Moss? (1 Viewer)

16 team dynasty league with IDPs.

Team A Gives:

Damon Huard, QB KCC

Roscoe Parris, WR BUF

Desmond Clark, TE CHI

2007 3rd

2008 1st

Team B Gives:

Randy Moss, WR OAK

2007 2nd

2009 3rd

FWIW

I just had a trade accepted in which I give up Rhodes and Moss for Roy Williams and Shawn Bryson (throw-in to balance rosters -- planning to drop him). I'm thrilled to have gotten that much for him.

According to Keyshawn, you can't even get a pack of gum for him...

"Randy Moss wanted out of Minnesota? Oh well," Johnson said. "Four years ago, he was the best wide receiver in the NFL. Now you can't get a pack of gum for him."

McNabb, Bush, TO

for

Peyton, Tatum, Moss

not really a Moss trade, but I felt as it ws worth it to gamble on Moss, especially with getting an upgrade at QB and RB3.

In two leagues I offered up Rhodes and either Clayton (I seem to gather the same players in multiple leagues). :D

I was rejected in each.

As a little aside...I don't necessarily think that Moss is going to get it going, just that I already have Smith and Holt and liked the idea of having a big name like Moss in there as my #3.

Trade just occured in my contract league (I am not involved either way) 12 team, no PPR

Randy Moss

for

Sin. Moss

2007 rookie 1st

2007 rookie 2nd

I just got Colston for him, in a Yahoo league! What kind of fool would take my 3.1 pick off my hands for waiver wire gold?

I gave up Greg Jennings, and got Randy Moss in return.
You must be way high on Moss all of a sudden getting his 54it together. Jennings looks like he will be gold the rest of this season. With Driver being out, you can debate on this being a problem for him drawing the better cover guys on opposing defenses, but his targets should go up.I am not sure I would give up Jennings for Moss right now, unless I knew his heart was in Oakland and Walter was transplanted with a QB's arm.

I'd take R Moss over Jennings or Colston in a heartbeat. Oakland sucks, Moss has a bad attitude, but you can't be so shortsighted. He's gonna get his yards and TDs

In a keep 1 league..

I just got a call..I own Randy Moss.

I was offered..Reggie Bush!

I said DEAL! and called the commish to confirm!

I traded RMoss for WMcGahee straight up after week 1 and couldn't be happier.
I could have done this and didn't. I'm hoping for him next year (dynasty) because I just get the feeling he won't be on the Raiders after this season. Just a gut feeling.

The crux of the issue, at least as far as redrafts go, is what do you think the possibilities of Moss (and the Raiders to a certain extent) returning to at least a respectable level are?

I think Moss improve significantly once Brooks returns without the Raiders necessarily getting much better, but obviously the Raiders being at least marginally competitive would help Moss and team chemistry a great deal.

The obvious risk is that, the way things are now, there's a good chance Moss has already mailed it in this season or even worse, he acts a fool and ends up with Jerry Porter persona-non-grata.

FWIW Moss pulled similar shenanigans in Minnesota and still performed. But, the Vikings were always competitive so there was always incentive for him to pull it together.

The other final factor is his skills have clearly eroded at least a bit. But as evidenced in his 2 TD preseason game, he IS still Randy Moss.

:2cents: I really can't tell. I put it at a 50/50 proposition as to whether he pulls together a respectable performance the remainder of the season. It's a truly tough debate for me as the Moss owner has offered him up for B. Edwards & I could afford to give up Edwards as I have a strong WR corps, but on the other hand, I don't wan't to be burdened with an albatross (Moss) on my roster the rest of the year if he sucks.

I refuse to sell Moss cheap in a dynasty. At some point, he'll turn it around. If not this year, then whenever the Raiders either get a new owner, coach, QB, or he's traded to another team.

Plus, i have the luxury of having Steve Smith, Boldin, Santana Moss, and Cotchery in front of him right now.

In a redraft league his value is certainly at risk this year although I think he'll improve later this year he has nowhere to go but up. Now I wonder if let's say Steve Smith or the much older Harrison were with the Raiders instead of Moss what their production would be like so far.

Maybe Moss, still under 30, is worthless, but I think it's more a symptom of the team he is with. For those that are in dynasty leagues by next year he'll either be dealt or the team will show improvement.

More food for thought ... in most scoring systems Moss and Ward have scored almost the same. Moss is only about 70 yards and a TD behind in most scoring systems Chad Johnson and Moss has had a bye that CJ has not. Moss has been outscored by Gates by only about 40 yards. Moss is only 40 yards and a TD behind TO. I'm not saying Moss has been great but he's played in THREE GAMES, two against top defenses, and only 1 with a real QB. Buy low.
