What if.......Kubiak to Broncos (1 Viewer)

After talking to sources close to the situation and around the league, NFL Network's Jason LaCanfora "senses" that Hall of Famer John Elway will return to the Broncos organization in a prominent role in the front office.

"He's coming in with a bang," said LaCanfora, "with a voice, a decision-making prowess, and someone who could maybe even settle ties between the football side and the coaching side." LaCanfora further suggests that long-time teammate (and former backup to Elway in Denver) Gary Kubiak would be a "natural" as Elway's choice for head coach if he's fired by Houston.

If this was the case I would assume Moreno would end up in a Foster type role. Now the Denver line isn't as good as the Houston line...but it isn't bad. Moreno's style seems like it would be a good fit for the zone blocking system. I think Moreno is a top 10 RB in this system and even top 7 in a ppr league.

I agree that if Kubiak becomes Denver's head coach, it can only help Knowshon. I wouldn't expect Foster like numbers, but I would expect his number to improve, although on a per game basis he is presently RB15 in PPG, and only 0.6 points away from being top 10.

Did Kubiak get a medical degree somewhere or healing powers from some higher power? That's the only way he will help this little brittle boy - he's a bust and the Broncos would be better off finding some new answer at RB that can stay in a game and play and practice from week to week.

As a Moreno owner myself, I am WELL AWARE of how he has left a bad taste in owner's mouths this year (he killed me in multiple leagues at the worst possible times).

But, with that being said, if Kubiak were to be the head coach in Denver, I think Moreno's value shoots through the roof. Lots of injuries for Denver on both sides of the ball, a wasted season/issues with the former coach..both very fixable for the Broncos and I see a lot of similarities with what Kubiak would have to work with.

It would be a very interesting hire.
