Noahs Troopers

Why are these tools who run the Bills not even talking about this possibility. I would easily see 3 more wins for Buffalo this year, and more than likely 5 more wins. That said, I voted 4. Maybe even a playoff berth.

if they wouldn't pay Moulds a little extra to keep him around, no way would they pay Kerry Collins what he wants.

Five wins total would be one more than Kerry Collins has had in a year since 2002. He is nothing more than a backup at this point, and there's no way he would bring great success to the Bills or any other team.

Collins was okay in Oakland, but in that offense, he shouldv'e put up better numbers.Anyway this will never happen since Buffalo seems happy with the three guys they got. None are getting cut, and none are going anywhere.

I project 4 wins for Buff this season

If you are a Bills fan why would you want Kerry Collins? See what he did for a Raiders offense with Randy Moss, Jerry Porter and Lamont Jordan. The Bills are going nowhere this year why not see what you have in J.P. Losman.

Just to pile on - last I checked the Oakland Raiders picked before the Bills in the 2006 draft...

What then projects Collins to be better than the Bills QBs?

Why don't the Bills just trade for Peyton Manning? That would probably add a few more win totals for them.

Sorry, but stuff like this is silly. Everything out there says that Collins wants to be a highly paid starter or he'll just quietly retire. The Bills don't have the money to pay Collins what he wants, Collins has never been more than a mediocre QB, and the Bills already have 2 QBs that are younger and have more potential to be a long-term solution. I mean, what would the Bills do? Sign Collins, hope he performs better than the other 3 guys already on their team, win 7 games and still have no future?

Jauron has to keep an open mind and tryout his 3 QBs. If they all stink then it will be a long year for Bills fans. If one of them stands out, then he will be the starter. I think Nall is the frontrunner, because coaches and GMs are always loyal to the guy that they brought in. I think Losman and Holcomb will each play a lot in the first half of the year, but either through injury or ineffectiveness, Nall will get most of the playing time the last half of the year.

I'm sure he meant 9 wins.

Being that I see them at 4 or 5 wins this year, with Collins, I could see 7-8....so I voted +3.

He was terrible on the Raiders because they are a terrible team. The Bills are pretty bad, but not in the same tier as Raiders.

I hope he finds work somewhere. He'd be great on a team like ARI/KC/STL as a backup.

Was he also bad with the Giants because the Giants are a terrible team? Collins' record as a starter over the past three years, with two different teams, is 11-30. And the Bills had the #29 rated defense in 2005.

OK, I can see that. That's just a simple misreading of the question then.

Would someone explain why if the Raiders can't win 9 games with Collins, why the Bills could?

Defense.
Buffalo's defense ranked #29 in yardage allowed and #25 in points allowed in 2005. Among other things, they allowed 38 points to the Oakland Raiders (the most the Raiders scored all year). Maybe that's why Noah's Troopers is under the illusion that Kerry Collins is good QB. They also allowed 30 points to your Jets with Brooks Bollinger at QB, similarly the most they scored all season.

I see a gigantic improvement on defense this year, will go from a bottom 5 to a top 10. I say with full confidence that the Bills defense is much better than the Raiders and don't care what the stats said last season.

Yeah, I have a buddy who's a Bills fan, and he thinks that every year, too.

Yeah - as the question was put, I was not speaking to the Bills 2005 defense - I was speaking to their 2006 defense.
