What in the world is a Non-Football Injury list? (1 Viewer)

I have never heard this term before.

Priest Holmes-RB- Chiefs Sep. 1 - 6:14 pm et

Chiefs placed Priest Holmes on the Non-Football Injury list, ensuring he won't return before Week 6, if at all.

The whole Holmes saga was bizarre and this might be an appropriate, if sad, ending to his career. The Chiefs have a three-week window to activate Holmes after Week 6.

Is it different from the IR because it does not end his season? What is the difference between that and the PUP?

:lmao:

And why is Terry Glenn contemplating surgery but not listed as OUT this week on the injury reports?

Terry Glenn - WR Sep. 12 - 8:38 am et

Serving as a second opinion, Dr. James Andrews reportedly confirmed the extent of WR Terry Glenn's knee injury.

Glenn still has to decide whether to undergo season-ending microfracture surgery or attempt to come back following an arthroscopic procedure.

The NFL is turning into the NBA with this restructuring of the injury reports stuff.

If you injure yourself at home tripping over your dog for example(no one would ever do that :tumbleweed: ) that's a non-football injury

The non-football injury list is what you wind up on after breaking your wife's "No watching football this Sunday while my parents are visiting!" rule.

Glenn had arthroscopic surgery. I would hope that on Friday when the injury report is released he will be labelled "out."
