Best Movie?

I actually thought the Perfect Storm was good. And similar to what others have said about him playing kind of an idiot well; the whole boat was filled with guys who weren't the greatest minds of their generation.

As an actor (or rapper) I kind of hate him. But he is great at taking roles that he can play well, and he rarely ruins a movie. I don't see him playing a college professor any time soon and being believable in it, but as long as he keeps playing clowns, dopey action heroes, and stuffed animal sidekicks, I think he'll be fine.

The Departed

Boogie Nights

The Fighter

The Other Guys (sneakily underrated because it's a comedy/action flick)

Never seen Three Kings or We Own The Night even though I've been meaning to do so.

Boogie Nights. I also liked Rock Star which isn't listed. RS wasn't a very good movie, but it was one of those that I'll watch over again.
RS was based on a true story, I was at the last show the dude did before he went to Judas Priest. Covered mostly grunge bands and could really sing.

I didn't realize it was based on a true story. RS is one of those guilty pleasure movies. You realize its not very good and are almost embarrassed that you like it, but you can't help but watch it when it shows up.

Probably the one where he only apologized for being a racist and beating a man until the victim was blinded for life when Mark decided he wanted a gun.

From the very article you linked:

He dismissed reports that the attack was so severe it left him blinded in one eye.He revealed he had already lost his left eye after being injured during a grenade explosion during the Vietnam war.

Lol.

How do I have no recollection of him in Basketball Diaries...all I remember is Leo

Anyways Boogie Nights

Also Perfect Storm is terrible

I enjoyed The Departed, and I'm a big fan of Marty's.

But that was not even one of his five best films.

So I went with Boogie Nights.

Also enjoyed Fear, The Fighter, Three Kings and Ted.

I think he's a good actor and a real movie star. He's also been successful as a producer. He seems like a sharp, genuine guy.
