Best Movie?

Keith R

The Don
I consider this a no-brainer but I've run into people who strongly disagree. So FFA, let me know if I'm off-base.

And this is best movie, not (necessarily) Mark's best performance.

The Departed I would think is the popular choice since you phrased your question the way you did.

Poll added.

My pick is Boogie Nights. Others say Departed, and someone actually said Lovely Bones so I threw it in as a choice.

fighter, departed, or three kings. any of those three is fine with me.

eta: forgot about boogie nights. that's the one.

Went with The Departed but it clearly isn't either Rock Star or The Happening which both were horrendous.

Don't really consider him that good of an actor to be honest.

I think he's a hack, so I'm trying to think of a movie where he was killed off early.

I will probably say The Departed because I almost forgot he was even in that.

i like the one he was in with kate marra because kate marra thats why take that to the bank bromigos

Boogie Nights. I also liked Rock Star which isn't listed. RS wasn't a very good movie, but it was one of those that I'll watch over again.

Boogie Nights by far. One of the best movies of the 90s.

Next up for me would be Basketball Diaries and Three Kings.

Rockstar is a big pile of cheese, but I love it.

The Fighter
acting chops aside, it didn't bother you that he showed zero aptitude as a boxer?
OP specifically said best movie, not best performance. Christian Bale killed it in that flick. I could have just as easily chosen "The Departed." I liked Boogie Nights too, but I think it's slightly overrated and I knew everyone was going to pick that, so I eliminated it from consideration.

You got the touch!!! You got the power!!!

Feel feel feel feel feel......feel my heat.

Dirk Diggler is a legend. Brock Landers and Chest Rockwell rule.

Rockstar is my second fave followed by The Departed, Ted and The Italian Job.

I really liked him in the Departed. Very good actor. I never would have pictured it in a million years when he was Marky Mark.

Boogie Nights was Wahlberg's best movie so I ignored the criteria set out by the OP since it's dumb and went Boogie Nights.

The Fighter, Boogie Nights, and the Departed were all equally good/awesome to me.

Yo it's about that time
To bring forth the rhythm and the rhyme
I'm a get mine so get yours
I wanna see sweat comin' out your pores
On the house tip is how I'm swinging this
Strictly hip hop boy I ain't singing this
Bringing this to the entire nation
Black, white, red, brown
Feel the vibration

Come on come on
Feel it feel it
Feel the vibration

Pretty decent body of work for a crappy rapper

I love most of his stuff!

Thunder buddies for life!
