Bill Blazejowski - because he was more effeminate than Carol, and because Shelley Long had a terrific panty-### shot in that flick.

Voted Beetlejuice, but my favorites are; Billy Caufield in The Dream Team and Carter Hayes in Pacific Heights.

Wow, tough one.  If someone said "hey quick, name a Michael Keaton role" Batman would be the first to come to mind, but it was certainly not his best.  Mr. Mom if a gun was to my head, but several of these are good.

Need to see Birdman.

To me it's beetlejuice, no question.  A special role, special character and truly unique movie

I think what he did in Birdman could be his greatest acting performance.  Don't know that 'best' = 'signature', though, so even though Beetlejuice isn't one of my favorites, it can be said that no one else could have been that character, not even Robin Williams. It grudgingly gets my vote.

Never saw it in the theatre, and when I tried to watch it with my kids a few years ago, they wouldn't sit through it.  I've still never seen the whole thing.

No Gung Ho, Spotlight or Mister Rogers Neighborhood option?
Good catch.  Excellent movie with a solid performance from Keaton.   He was good in the Other Guys as well.

Had to go Batman as his signature role.

Skip it unless you like pretentious artsy streaming piles of crap

Tim Burton originally wanted Sammy Davis Jr to play the role. True story.

I voted for Batman.

I was just saying the other day when I saw him in the Spiderman preview that I feel like we were robbed some years of Michael Keaton with his strange scarcity the last 20 years or so. Really captivating screen presence and great comedic delivery. I voted Beelejuice.

Don't know how an aging Sammy would have fared in that role.  Would have been a wild scene, man.

Too bad he died before Burton made 'Big Fish'; he could have played the witch with the eye that would show you how you die if you look into it.

Clean&Sober was his best acting role, Multiplicity is my favorite role, and Birdman is probably the answer to this poll.

Batman, Beetlejuice or Mr. Mom...no wrong answer between those three.

I voted Mr. Mom because I think that role was less carved out for him and more what he made it.  Although, Beetlejuice was pretty impressive.  He has really great range, IMO.  I watched Cars 3-4 times with my son before I saw that he was the voice of Chick Hicks. I still can't tell it's him based on the sound of his voice, even though I know it is.

On a side note, I consider Keaton to be an underrated actor.  Really like a lot of his roles and he has a lot of variety in there.
