I have Spiller, who ranks 20 spots ahead of Ridley in MFL RB ADP. Seems like a very large downgrade to only move up 7 spots in a rookie draft. But I digress.

Yeah, it's not a very fair offer on its face, but I usually read offers like that as "hey, just as an FYI, I'm interested in acquiring Spiller and pieces like Ridley and my first are on the table", not as "hey, I'm trying to get something for nothing and I think so little of you that I'm just going to cross my fingers and hope you accept".

Those owners will consider it a ridiculous overpay for him. Since I don't know which side of the fence you fall on, I really have no idea which side of the trade you think is unfair (although, given that the offerer was giving Gordon, I'm assuming you fall on the low side of the fence and think it would be an overpay for him).

I've consistently been among the lowest Gordon rankers on the internet, but I have to admit, I actually have a team where I'd accept that offer right now (extremely deep at WR, with 6 top-20 receivers, so Gordon would have a much better chance of cracking my regular rotation than AJ and Wallace).

In a 12 team start 1 QB league with regular PPR scoring some guy tried to explain to me that Stafford was worth more than Jordan Cameron "because Stafford scores a lot more points".......................I mean, I don't care to debate at all who is more valuable. That wasn't the issue in this case. But given the scoring setup this poor attempt at talking me into a deal was enough to make my head explode with laughter.

I told him I would deal him Russell Wilson for Calvin Johnson and that he should take it cause Wilson outscored Calvin. Needless to say, he realized he was an idiot.

That was encapsulated in my "much better chance" assessment. If Gordon only has a 20% chance of playing ever again, that still means there's like a 19% chance that he'll one day be a regular in my starting lineup.

People who are certain that Gordon will never play again are making the same mistake as the people three months ago who were certain that Gordon would never fail another test. There are a whole range of possible outcomes with respect to Josh Gordon. Failing to evaluate the entire range of possibilities will result in skewed player valuations.

I mentioned this one a year ago, but one of my leaguemates once asked me if I was interested in getting younger at QB, and I responded that I was always interested in getting younger at every position, so he offered me his Brandon Weeden for my Matt Ryan.

Yeah I see it, but rookies are always overvalued in startups. I'm not saying I'd prefer the 1st side, but it's far from terrible. If Blackmon returns he could be as valuable as Watkins (doubtful but possible). Bryce could be more valuable than Hyde and Reed is and still could be more valuable than Ebron.

I'd definitely like my chances on the Watkins side, but it's not TERRIBLE.
