What is the worst dynasty trade you have been offered? (2 Viewers)

Some people like Alex Collins. If you're among them this isn't bad at all.
I think it’s more the fact that it’s including darkwa who isnt on a team. Also, that bengals wr4 is a hot commodity....I mean, are you cutting a guy to make that trade? It’s not terrible value wise, but it doesn’t make sense.

Ok. Lots of leagues don't have roster caps in the off season so the 4 for 3 doesn't really matter in those (maybe it does in Andy's league,).

Darkwa will sign somewhere, possibly New England where he visited yesterday.  So his not being rostered is very likely to change.

Notto say these guys are studs but the relevant players are Collins for brate and Kittle, which you might not take but isn't outlandish.

Yeah, I'd agree with all that. I just don't understand offering obvious dead weight in a trade. If you want to offer Collins for Brate/Kittle, just do it. Don't include a bunch of underbrush.

Not horrible but for some reason people seem to think I'd be interested in guys that aren't even rostered.

I get
Collins, Alex BAL RB
Darkwa, Orleans FA RB
Boyd, Tyler CIN WR
Peppers, Julius CAR DE

I give
Butler, Brice ARI WR
Brate, Cameron TBB TE
Kittle, George SFO TE
I'm probably higher on Collins then you are, apparently, but I'm not seeing any issue with that offer really. Maybe it's one young TE too many but Collins is the most valuable player on either side imo.

Well you could just counter and leave out the "trash" (or cut that player right away if allowed). I'm not high on Darkwa but he could still end up picking up a little value depending on where he eventually ends up.

I didn't give much context to it. This is the second trade in the last week where someone offered a free agent in the deal. The last one included Adrian Peterson. It's not so much a criticism of a bad offer as it is of including junk in an offer.

It's like last year when a dude sent like three different offers that included Khalfani Muhammad. What the #### am I going to do with a Khalfani Muhammad?

I think Brice Butler can gain some value as the potential #2WR in Arizona. I've always been intrigued by his skillset. For some reason Dallas didn't really give him much opportunity but he always took advantage of it when they did. I thought he was better than Terrence Williams.

One man's trash is another's treasure... Maybe not here but boyd could still do something.

I just don't see the issue the same as you do.  Good to know if I'm ever with you in a league.

I DID say it wasn't horrible.

I just find it confusing. Guess I'm a minimalist!

I don't know league rules but I could see one of two reasons for this, or at least two reasons why I would do it.  They both have to with roster caps.  First, they could be guys that I would be dropping anyway so I might as well send them to you in case you want them.  Worst case for you is that you just drop them.  Or, second, I can't take on your guys in my deal without dropping players but I don't want to drop them unless you accept the deal.  In either event, I usually put a note in the MFL comments that certain guys are merely being added because they would be my drop guys.  I usually do this to avoid the other owner thinking that I'm adding the players with the thought that they carry any meaningful value.

Hmmm...Well that makes sense. Hadn't thought about the clearing roster space angle. Thanks!

Good points  But, the additional player can also be viewed as having "hyped" value   Meaning I may enjoy seeing what a team drops to accommodate the acquisition  Obviously only relevant in Leagues w/ roster limits  But at the same time, it could be viewed as offering the guy first crack at a lottery ticket

Guy inquired about Derrick Henry advising he wanted to acquire him at fair value. I asked him what he thought was fair value? He told me maybe a 2 and a 3.  :wall:

Oish

12 team PPR, just got offered Chris Hogan for my 1.02 and Josh Malone.  I like the Malone throw in, as if Hogan was worth just a touch more than the 1.02 and he wanted to even it up  a bit.

"Lately" should be added to end of thread title. This isn't the worst ive been offered but it is the worst ive been offered lately...

12tm ppr (1qb)

Team A gives:
Carr,Derek QB/OAK
Breida,Matt RB/SF

Team B Gives:
Green,A.J. WR/CIN
Round-1 Pick-10 #10 Overall

New owners taking over an orphan team fishing for chumps but poisoning the water along the way.....

PPR zealots league

I get
Darkwa, Orleans FA RB
Boyd, Tyler CIN WR
Peppers, Julius CAR DE

I give
Cohen, Tarik CHI RB
Kittle, George SFO TE
Lawson, Carl CIN DE

AGAIN WITH THE FREE AGENTS!!! :wall:

My plan was to quit this league after last season. I should have followed through.

Pffft.

In a Zealots PPR, just last week I was offered a 2018 3.08 and 2019 3rd for Joe Mixon.

I was just offered the 1.1 pick!

All I have to give up in return is:

1.3, 1.5, two 2019 1sts, Jordan Howard, Tarik Cohen, AND Joey Bosa.

I think he just went through my lineup and clicked on every player or pick he happened to like.

Kind of how you do it if you’re selling the 1.01 this year. “I’ll pick 1.01 unless someone wants to accept one of these ridiculous offers!”

PPR dynasty, literally just finished the start up draft so I’ll post dollars. If nothing else, it should give an idea of how we valued them during the draft. 500 draft budget

I give Diggs (72.00) and 3.02 (2.50)

I get Parker (14.00) and Mack (4.50)

That 3.02 was totally necessary to balance out this trade though, don’t let anyone tell you otherwise...

Just got this one this morning.

I give Juju, 1.08 and a 2019 1st

I get Jarvis Landry

I don't know about anyone else, but I prefer Juju over Landry

I do as well, but even if some one liked Landry better it wouldn’t be two firsts better.
I haven't kept up on all the off-season news but Cleveland seems like a very crowded receiving group.  Gordon, Coleman, Landry, Njoku, Duke, a handful of fringe guys and they just drafted Calloway & Ratley .  Throw in a young QB...   I like Juju a lot more.

Couple future 1sts for Zeke. The note was the best part. Now that the Cowboys have Austin and Scarbough it looks like Zeke will be a two down back and lose goal line carries.

I would prefer JuJu, but I think you could make a case for Landry if this had just been a straight up swap. The additions of the firsts throws this completely out of whack.

Landry's owners seem to have an overinflated sense of his value. Before the draft I had someone offer me Landry for my 1.01 in a PPR league.

This one is awesome...NON-PPR to boot

I get
Smith, Alex WAS QB
Jackson, DeSean TBB WR
Year 2019 Round 3 Draft pick

I give
Diggs, Stefon MIN WR
Year 2018 Draft Pick 1.11

Year 2019 Round 1 Draft Pick

Hey you’re getting a 2019 3 (most valuable piece you’re getting).

If it's non PPR, the pieces you're giving are worth less.

The pieces you're getting are worthless.

Mayfield, Baker CLE QB and Goedert, Dallas PHI TE and Year 2018 Draft Pick 5.06

for David Johnson

In terms of where guys were drafted, the offer was essentially

2.12, 3.06 and 5.06 for DJ

I wonder sometimes if people think everyone else is stupid, or if they’re stupid and think that’s a legit offer.

Wasn't sent to me, but my son received and shared:

Foreman, D'Onta HOU RB; Coleman, Brandon NOS WR; Miller, Braxton HOU WR; Thompson, Deonte DAL WR; Casey, Jurrell TEN DE; Clark, Frank SEA DE; Brothers, Kentrell MIN LB; Harold, Eli SFO LB; Kindred, Derrick CLE S

For his 1.04

I guess Foreman is worth something, as are some of the IDPs. But basically it's "let me send you all my scrap for a top rookie"

These are from the same owner in one of my leagues. Notorious for sending horrible opening offers. So bad that people usually never even get to negotiations.

0.5 PPR, Superflex leagues.

Offer 1 was:

He gives:

Ryan Tannehill, Duke Johnson, TyMont, Ted Ginn, Eric Ebron

He wants:

Dalvin Cook, Kenyan Drake

Offer 2 was:

He gives:

Josh McCown, Ryan Tannehill, Rishard Matthews, Ben Watson

He wants:

Alvin Kamara, Juju, 2019 3rd

If Dalvin tore his other ACL and both Achilles tomorrow, and Ty was granted the starting RB job, and Ebron was Gronk, then maybe the first one would be ok.

Nothing can make the second one ok.

Not the worst, but come on...

Team X will give
Year 2019 Round 1 Draft Pick from Team X

To Team Y for
Howard, O.J. TBB TE
Kendricks, Eric MIN LB
Year 2019 Round 4 Draft Pick from Team Z
