Just trying to get peoples opinion on his value for the rest of the season. Can he turn this around with an awful JETS team?
Why is that? Leon hasn't done anything special yet and Jones hasn't been that bad against a couple good defenses.I think he is likely to see more of his reps shared by Leon Washington.
Not many...NYJ's have 20 million reasons to allow Jones the opportunity to showcase his talents. It's not like Neon Leon is lighting it up between the tackles--he's good, but not ready to handle the load. Keep Jones--he started slow last year and did just fine.Frenchy Fuqua said:I think he is likely to see more of his reps shared by Leon Washington.
If it's a money league I'd like to join...In my PPR league, Thomas Jones was just dealt straight up for Kevin Jones.I'm sure that clears it up.![]()
Nothing against TJ, he is a solid move-the-chains runner. Washington, however, is the closest thing the Jets have to a gamebreaker. He's not going to steal TJ's job but he brings home run ability that TJ doesn't. With the way the Jets have struggled I expect that Washington will be on the field more the rest of the season than he has been the first 4 games.murzman said:Why is that? Nice team in your sig especially for a 10 team league (cough, cough). Can I join your league? If it's a money league I'd like to join...In my PPR league, Thomas Jones was just dealt straight up for Kevin Jones.I'm sure that clears it up.![]()
I just traded T. Jones and E. Graham ( a waiver wire pickup) for Cotchery, Stanton, and a 2008 2nd round rookie pick.he just went in my ppr redraft league for Cotchery.
You must have missed last week. Not good.IMO, TJ's value is as low right now as it will be for the rest of season...of course barring injury as always. This week will be the 'tell all' of the rest of the season for TJ. Personally, I believe he will cut up these next games and become a respectable RB #2.He has a great upcoming schedule and if he can't do much in these next weeks, then I wouldn expect Leon to steal more carries as the season progresses; if this is the case, then I wouldn't count on him as a viable option for the rest of the season. Just my $.02
Some Denver homer in my league offered him AND Lendale White to me for Selvin Young.Somehow I think that trade is going to get vetoed by the league though.traded ward and graham for him-my 4th rb-may have play him depending on addai-
Last week was not his fault - as a huge JEt fan - Mangini's gameplan was the suck. He was in the hurry up all game for some reason and completely abandoned the run way early. I expect they will return to what they did to beat Miami which is run the ball 30 times - what other RBs are out there that should get 20 carries per game plus all the GL carries that you can get for cheap? I could be wrong but have a feeling this will be the last week to buy low on TJ.You must have missed last week.
