There's something missing with the Bengals. Even though they are 3-2, there's something missing. To be honest, it's the same thing the Steelers were missing up to yesterday. Hopefully, the Steelers can keep it going. And the Bengals are just off right now. Things aren't clicking for them.
And for those who think it's over for da Bengals, don't count your chickens before they hatch. The Bengals will rebound. Just like the Steelers have rebounded. It's week 7 and it's anyone's division in the AFC North. Nobody should write off the Steelers, Bengals or even the Ravens at this point.

This is indeed a sad day here when one "guy" protects his little buddy. Sure seems funny to me that this guy comes here and defends his fragile stance of the Bengals when he is not a fan. Clearly he has something at stake here. Validation? here in the Shark pool? I can care less. I was laughing hard when they lost and I am laughing harder now with the man love going on here. The Jerk defends his little buddy. I can care less and for a Steeler fan he should be reeling in delight over the debacle of this team. A Steeler fan defending the Bengals? Probably a fair weather fan that jumped on the wagon last January....Congratulations! You've now eliminated all doubt about your familiarity with the Shark Pool. TB was the number 1 defense last year, it's not like anyone's surprised Rudi didn't put up 150+ against them.BTW he's about 10th in rushing yards, about 10th in TOTAL TDs, and about RB10 from a fantasy standpoint. That's hardly 'sucking'

There are plenty of RBs in this league that are posting better, the same and close to the same numbers and they are in a RBBC situation. Rudi is getting the majority of carries here. He might not be as bad as Chad Johnson but this team lost because of thir inability to run the ball. TB has been ripped this year in the running game....

Rudi will be a top 10 RB in fantasy terms this year and you cannot write off what Chad has done and what he is capable of. Frank Gore is giving up touches and carries in the red zoneWarrick Dunn is giving up carries
JJ is giving up carries and touches in the red zone
Tatum Bell is giving up carries
McAllister is giving up carries
Foster is giving up carries
LT is giving up carries
RJ is giving up a small percentage of carries compared to these players with LT and Foster taking the majority of snaps this past weekend. I will give RJ the TDs but if the Begals are not running the ball they are losing games. Will it continue to happen? If they are switching OL pieces in the middle of games they will be stopped cold like they did yesterday an his numbers will free fall....

I don't think that he is really all that good right now. If he is not that good and he sucks as an NFL RB well that certainly translates into sucking as a FF RB. Is he going to snap out of it this weekend? He might do it- stranger things have happened in the NFL but I do not think he will. He is going to nose dive and because this team has a bunch of loud-mouthed thugs they will toss in the towel- IE no HEART. Plus- he is going to lose carries as soon as Chris Perry returns. Perry will most likely jump in on third downs. RJ is a good player and so is Palmer but they are stuck on a team with a bunch of malcontents and high expectations from some very disappointed fans. Apparently they have some serious Steeler support as well around here.....

I can agree with you on the malcontents/thugs that surround Rudi and Carson. Eventually, off the field distractions catch up with teams 99% of the time. I think what you are seeing from Steeler fans like myself in this thread is respect and recognition for their talent. Same goes for Chad Johnson. Chad has not put up his usual numbers so far this season, but you cannot discount over 4000 receiving yards and 28 TDs from 2003-2005.

Really? Well if you go back and re-read this thread you will see how I just had about 6 guys jump on me because of the word "Suck". That is the only reason why. Barely anyone came in here to put up a counter point. They just jumped my train and I can care less. I love it because this is football. So now you are going to give me Miss manner lessons on how to post in the Shark Pool? Go back and see who railed on me. Maybe you should write the "mods" an e-mail and have the word "suck" filtered to ease your concerns....

It's more your tone and attitude, not your choice of words. Being even partly civil in your responses makes actual feedback or counterpoints more likely. I find it interesting that you responded quickly to my non-football posts but not at all to my counterpoint post.

Well finally a response about the subject at hand- I am looking at how teams in the NFL have situations in which they have to reach back and pull at the character that defines a team. This Bengal organization is clearly at a crossroads right now after losing for so many years. They won last year and had the misfortune of losing CP in the playoff run. The big problems started with a lack of focus. Chad Johnson sold out and put his commercial desires ahead of the team’s goals. With disruptions coming from other players and the mounting of injury after injury it was and it is inevitable that if this team is going to move towards a winning record it is imperative that players like Chad Johnson and Rudi Johnson step it up. They are not getting it done. 3 rushing yards in the first half for Rudi Johnson. Rudi Johnson got a little more room in the second half in finishing with 52 yards on 17 carries, but it’s not nearly as much as the Bengals expected to run on a team that gave them the run with a Cover 2 zone in a defense ranked 30th against the rush. That is some paltry running. Plus- the Bengals were 3-14 on 3rd down conversions when they held the lead for a good part of the game. The Bengals are 5-25 in third down conversions the past two games. They will probably lose Levi Jones for some time. Sorry but this tells me that they will continue to suck no matter how ell they have played in the past.
