What is your Flag Plant for 2025? (2 Viewers)

Smack Tripper

Could be over projection or under projection.

In doing all my crunching, I am going with Michael Penix being massively undervalued. We are pushing Drake London to the 1st, we have Bijan in the first

I am going to say Penix finishes QB8 this season or better

I think Kenneth Walker smashes if he doesn't get hurt. Chase Brown is also going way too low for someone who is going to be a bell cow in a great offense. I think Tet and Puka(going in the middle to late first round of redrafts) have great years. I think Pickens is going to have a career year in Dallas. Big on RJ Harvey and Henderson as well. Agree with the above poster on Pearsall(Actually all the 9ers are undervalued in drafts)

Down on Aaron Jones, Tyreek, Garrett Wilson, Breece Hall, and Marvin Harrison Jr.

Hall and or Taylor have new teams by the trade deadline.

Garrett Wilson is a top 10 wr in full ppr, and top 30 in standard. He has three games of ten+ receptions. One of which he has more than the next three players combined.

Russel makes it three weeks before Dart comes in and is electric for a few games before absolutely catering, leaving nyg with a bunch of questions for the off-season.

AZ is the first team to clean house after starting in the bottom quarter of every position group.

And my super firm solid plant flag.... Every team I'm in will have at least two of my top four picks go in IR for an extended period.

Tee Higgins stays healthy all year, and his usage from last year wasn't a fluke. He's a top-5 WR, and not THAT far behind Chase.

Travis Kelce has a huge bounce back season and is TE1 overall the 1st 6 weeks of the season and stays a top-5 guy all year. TD regression hits big.

Tucker Kraft leads the Packers in receiving and is this year's breakout TE, finishing with a top-5 season.

Left with no other options, the Texans finally just roll with Dameon Pierce and he's a solid RB2 from that point forward.

Darius Slayton finally has a QB (any of Wilson, Dart, Winston) who can throw deep balls, and surprises as a WR3, taking more away from Nabers than people think.

Quinshon Judkins has already blown his shot. Dylan Sampson takes the job and never gives it back. Sampson is an RB2 in any game where the Browns don't get blown out.

In no particular order just shooting from the hip:

*From week 9 on, T Ferguson will outscore J Ferguson
*JSN gets 170 targets
*Caleb Williams sets Bears single season passing record
*ETN the rookie scores more FF points than ETN the veteran
*Evans get 1000 yards again and Godwin never sees the field
*Pitts gets 1000/10 and forum chaos ensues
*Dak falls apart and gets benched
*Bill leads Commanders in rushes duh
*K Coleman gets 1000/10
*G Wilson gets 100 catches
*Tyreek opens season with 200 yard game and forum chaos ensues
*A Gibson takes over the R Stevenson role because of fumbling, and then Stevenson takes back the Gibson role because of fumbling, and Henderson owners will need a napkin
*Cleveland makes a run with Flacco get to 7-3 then bench him for Gabriel
*J Chase breaks single game yardage record with 357
*Eagles repeat as champs and beat the Ravens 37-31 in what will always be remembered as the best SB of all time with Barkley winning in OT on a walk off 63 yard video game highlight and is named MVP with 200+ yards and 2 TDs. Eagles fans will need a napkin.

Are these “flag plants” or a list of stuff you want to happen”?

these are schtick but would love to see and I think are reasonably conceivable. Except **** the Eagles I just call that one how I see I think they're by far the best team but I also hate them as much as anyone. And love the Ravens actually but I don't think they will ever win a SB.

Here are a few more:
  • Jamo is top 10 WR and outscores ARSB
  • Washington misses the playoffs
  • CMC is healthy all year and is RB1
  • Charbs outscores KW
  • Thornton outscores Meyers and Bowers (maybe this belongs in the bold predictions thread)
  • Ladd is top 5 WR
  • Chase Brown is top 5 RB

*From week 9 on, T Ferguson will outscore J Ferguson
*Caleb Williams sets Bears single season passing record
*Tyreek opens season with 200 yard game and forum chaos ensues
I like these 3 in particular.
To be fair the Bears passing record (3838 yds) isn't that high of a bar. Last year the top 11 passers were above it. Still takes a solid season from Caleb though.

Caleb Williams rookie season (3541) is 5th on the Bears all time list already.

Flag plants:
🚩 Saquan defies the odds and has a top 5 RB season.
🏴‍☠️ Chase Brown also has a top 5 RB season (PPR)
🇨🇦 Sam Darnold: QB8
🏳️ Drake Maye: QB18
🏴 Sam LaPorta top 4 TE
🇯🇴 Miami Dolphins are the first team to fire their HC
🏳️ Despite the new weapons and coaching, Trevor Lawrence finishes as the QB14.

ETA stole the flag idea from @-OZ-

My flag plants

- Rashod Bateman takes the next step and is an every week start at WR3
- Emeka Egbuka outscores Mike Evans in TB
- Davante Adams outscores Puka Nacua in LAR
- Patrick Mahomes is QB1 from weeks 7 on, once Rashee Rice comes back from suspension
- Njoku outscores Kittle, assuming Flacco stays at QB.
- Courtland Sutton takes the next step and becomes a borderline WR1 in a 12 team league.
- Gibbs goes over 1000 yds rushing and 1000 yards receiving.

Egbuka OROTY
Dak comeback player OTY
Vrabel Coach OTY (wanted to say BJ but I think he's already odds on favorite)

Dak top 3 fantasy QB, Cowboys win their first playoff game in a few years

TLaw top 8 fantasy QB, Jags win a playoff game

Pearsall leads SF in receptions and yards, even after Aiyuk comes back.

Broncos winning the AFC West over the Chiefs

Packers make NFC Championship game

Bills win their first Super Bowl (over the 49ers)

By seasons end, more people start moving to my "2025 rookie RB class might be the best of all time" island. Even more join us by July/August of 2026 as more '25 RBs position themselves into fantasy relevant roles for the 2026 season.

Spiciest take: we see our third triple crown winner in the past 5 years, Drake London; leading the league in targets, yards, and TDs.

Edit: I wasn't going to put this bc I didn't want to be a bummer; and I won't put what I really think will happen and be a jinx. But I think Jayden Daniels disappoints this season, and will leave it at that. The team as a whole regresses majorly from their 12-5 season last year and is lucky to finish 9-8.

I vote for Pitts and Evans.
This has devolved into "Bold Predictions 2.0"
Yes I just want to read others hopeful opinions on the guys I already drafted at this point!. Here for the Hype train rollercoaster!

Other than that OC Liam Cohen affects Jaguars skill positions for the better and same for Bears w/ Ben Johnson.

I know, right? You don't plant your flag and die on 15 hills. You fight to the death to defend only one of them.
Sure, but the nature of drafting leads to a lot of "flag planting" for guys that you reach for because you believe they will outperform consensus. Now the actual statements in this thread do seem to be veering towards bold predictions rather than a "I just like this guy more than most so I reach to make sure I get him" statements.

Tucker Kraft is the TE4 after the Kittle, McBride, Bowers tier.
Imma round out the top 7 with LaPorta, Hock & Fergusen. I have those 4 in about the same tier. I’d be happy with any of them at ADP.
I can see the case for all them but I do think Kraft will be closer to the Kittle-Bowers-McBride tier than that next one. I just look at the need Green Bay has for targets with some of their injuries, the chances they pass much more this year with a healthy Love and the Kittle like YAC Kraft showed in 2024 as being signs of a potential monster year.

Ollie Gordon makes most of the league regret not taking him earlier
R. Odunze takes over the WR1 in Chicago
H Fannin shows enough this year to excite their owners for next year when they have a new QB

Oh yeah, agreed. I took Kraft in 2 leagues where all 4 were available for that same reason.

🏴‍☠️ Derrick Henry continues to defy time and ends with over 100 ypg

🎏 Cam Ward does a solid impression of Jayden and leads the titans to the playoffs

⛳ Penix top 6 QB passing

🏁 Rattler surprised us all and leads the saints out of a top 3 pick

🎏 Marvin Harrison Jr reminds us why he was so highly considered, gets close to a WR1 status

🏴‍☠️ Caleb does likewise, but not until the second half of the season. He’s okay through week 8, then turns it on to set records.

🏁 Garrett Nussmeier heads to Cleveland as the 1.01 but only because they trade into it.

I had to double check but he wasn't even drafted in my local 10 teamer and remains a FA, might have to do something about that and fast

Yikes. If it’s TE required, take him now.
