We all have expectations as to what is a reasonable return on investment for the expenditure of a 1.01 rookie draft pick. This poll is meant to measure that.
Ignore for the purposes of this poll how deep the draft is, or whether you even chose the "right" player with your 1.01 pick.
This simply asks, as a general matter and using comparisons to actual players careers, what at a minimum would you be happy ending up with with your 1.01 rookie dynasty pick as judged by that player's total career output? The players are simply analogies - you could easily substitute Jim Brown or Barry Sanders for Walter Payton, for example. Don't take them too literally - it's just meant to define the type of player you're looking to get with the 1.01.
Let me emphasize - we all hope we're drafting the next Walter or Barry or Emmitt. That's not what I'm asking. I'm asking what level is the minimum you'd accept to make this pick one in which you felt you'd gotten good value out of it.
Note, I've roughly prioritized the choices but their order is not binding upon you. Ranking to account for both qualitative and quantitative analysiss is difficult given that a "good" player's performance might be judged by longevity (quantitatively), or by excellence over a short period of time (qualitatively), or some combination of the two. For example, using two of the choices named above, people might disagree on whether or not Terrell Davis is a better fantasy pick than Jerome Bettis.
