What ONE thing are you most anxious to see... (1 Viewer)

Since I can only give one answer...

I really want to see how the Carolina Panthers offense is going to change with Jeff Davidson running the offense. How is he going to utilize DeAngelo Williams and DeShaun Foster in this new blocking scheme? Who will rise to the occasion as the WR2 under Steve Smith? Will it be Drew Carter, who is on many people's radar or will Dwayne Jarrett and his playmaking skills be too much for Carolina, Delhomme and Co. to ignore? I'd love to say that Davidson is going to come in and immediately have a well-oiled machine like the Broncos and Patriots offensive systems, being that that's the closest version of what this new offense is going to bring. HOWEVER, this is the same Jeff Davidson that ran the Cleveland Browns offense for the last 10 games of the 2006 season.

CLE 2006 Offense

264.4 yards per game - rank 31

83.4 rushing yards per game - rank 31

15 passing TD - rank 27

27 receptions led all RB's (Droughns)

That's not exactly a ringing endorsement for Jeff Davidson, but then again Steve Young didn't do much of anything with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers either. Nor did Brett Favre with Atlanta or Thomas Jones with Arizona or...well you get the idea. A lot will be determined in the first 3 games of the season. Carolina is @ STL, HOU, @ ATL. Definitely some serious offensive opportunities in those 3 games. We'll see what happens...

If Rex actually learned something from his first full year as a starter.
I have been readin that he is working a lot with Pep on his mechanics and to throw less off of his back foot.
I have read this too - I hope that it shows up on the field this year.
Thing #1 - There are worse things than taking a sack.Thing #2 - There are worse things than punting.Like throwing horrific picks, for example.
Yes, those are two things I hope he learned. Add Thing #3 - you need to tuck the ball away when you are going to take a sack.

How drunk Joe Namath gets on MNF this year. ;)

Kidding. I'm excited to see ClintonCalvinAdrian this year. That counts as one person right?

If Wade Phillips defensive intelligence turns the Dallas defense into the formidable unit that it can be...all the pieces are there.

I'm most anxious to see if the Saints Defense has actually improved in the offseason or if it was money for nothing.

I'd like to see New Orleans treat the week one matchup against the Colts like it's a Superbowl game, but that's just me.

if the Chiefs o-line matters at ALL with the beast that is LJ back there.

Whether the addition of Kiffin and off season additions will allow the raiders to become more competitive. They appeared exceptionally poor last year . . .

Does Reggie Bush turn into the next Marshall Faulk
or, does Reggie Bush become the next Eric Metcalf?I'm waiting to see Cedrick Benson fail , in his attempt to win the starting RB role in chicago.

Brandon Jacobs carrying the full load and running wild.
Either you want to watch him do his laundry or you think he'll be a postal worker because this ain't happening on a football field. Which leads me to what I look forward to the most: the complaining on the board from those people who have this bum on their team despite my warnings.

The Lions offense . . . with a deeper backfield a (hopefully) better OL , AND Johnson and McDonald added to the receiving threats they had last year , Martz gets a chance to open up his playbook (again) . . .

should be exciting . . .

As a Cowboys fan I am most anxious to see how Tony Romo responds to that fateful play in SEA that ended the '06 season. I truly believe this is a feast or famin scenerio. His early performance will either be excellent or he will appear confused and make terrible decisions. I don't think there will be any grey areas.
Really? As a Cowboy fan this is more close to my answer:

This DL and LB core is set up to destroy. Coach Phillips has got to feel like a kid in a candy store...

If Romo is not guiding the team successfully and putting points(TDs) on the scoreboard then the DEF will wear down and eventually wear out as the season progresses. A solid OFF will allow the DEF to reach their potential, IMO.

I agree completely. I still can't wait to see the D though...

How Chad Pennington does now that the Jets have a legitimate NFL-caliber RB and the fact that this is the first offeson in 2+ years that he is not rehabbing a major injury coming into the season.

The last time he was healthy coming into a season the Jets started the season 6-0 and he had 8 TDs vs. 2 INT.
