What picks did you immediately regret making? (2 Viewers)

Took Kevin Smith in the 7th, 12 team PPR for my Flex spot. I would have rather taken Meachem.

Oh, and the 6th I took DeSean Jackson as my WR2 and passed on D. Thomas and Reggie Wayne. I'd like that pick back too.

Post hurricane, no notes in front of me, in a hotel lobby, going on instinct, in a 'for fun' league (but one which I was using as a mock and would still like to do well) went with Cruz and Julio over Andre Johnson and Greg Jennings. Which is really crazy because I never pick Falcons to begin with.

Took Winslow over Mike Thomas in the 8th round of a 12 teamer despite at that point Megatron being the only WR I had. Thomas went a few picks later. My trade attempts would be totally different had I picked Thomas, to the point where I wouldnt have even offered trades maybe.
Looks like your intuition was strongI regret taking Alex Smith over Carson Palmer as QB2 in a 2 QB league. Got Freeman as a backup tho and I feel good about him. I am wondering whether Cam Newton was a better QB1 pick over stafford... I think they are a wash so I don't necessarily regret it but Cam is riskier and risk burned me bad last year with Vick

I bought Winslow for $2 at the end of my auction draft, and immediately realized that there were 3-4 better candidates available for $1 (Celek, Olsen, Cook).

I kinda regret getting Turner as my #2 RB in a PPR league but I will just have to put a little faith into finding a stud on the waiver wire.

Some early drafts (before August 1st)

Took Gronk at 1.9 in a start up dynasty league, over Graham, Julio, A.J. Green.

In another dynasty start up traded pick 2.04 and 6.04 for 2.10and 4.10. So instead of starting my team up with Green and Julio Jones, Gronk, or Graham, I have Green and Cruz, who I took over Nicks because he had just hurt his foot the week before.

Took David Wilson over Luck in rookie draft at 1.07.

Took Meachem in the 9th. I just don't feel the SD passing game at all, that pick could have worked out much better for me.

AJ Green over Fitz in the 3rd. Fitz and Andre dropped and I stayed away from them. Ended up with AJ Torrey and Percy. Could have had Andre or Fitz with Percy and Torrey.

I'd rather have Green than either of them.
Just worried I overreacted to a) Fitz QB situation and b) Andre age/injury. Green is all based on last year. Lots of QBs regress 2nd year.

At the very least, Green will be awesome again by default. Other than Gresham, there aren't a lot of other guys worth throwing to. Dalton takes so many deep shots to him every game, you just need them to connect on one of them to have a decent day. I love the kid. He is just behind Julio as my #3. But I believe I like him more than most people.

Took Rivers over Romo in the 5th. All other revelant QB's were off the board.

I like Romo, but his penchant for not finishing seasons on the field scared me so I went Rivers, but think Romo will put up better numbers if he stays on the field.

Where do I start? Took Antonio Brown and BJGE over Colston and Matt Ryan at the 5/6 turn when I already had 3 RB's and no QB.

What makes that worse is that I could have gotten a better RB than BJGE at the 7/8 turn....Doug Martin....but for some reason I thought I just had to go Hernandez/Rivers to fill those positions. :bag:

I immediately regret taking RG3 as my

Qb1 and not taking a second quarterback soon enough. I took RG3 as the 12th qb off the board in a 12 team league. Should have backed him up with cutler or flacco or big Ben, but hesitated and waited one turn too long and missed them all. Now I have no backup and a lot riding on RG3 being decent. I feel very comfortable with the rest of my team as I was drafting RB talent while everyone was snatching qbs and WRs (and I like my wr corp too)

Small bench so rostering someone like ponder or cassel not worth it in my book. Rolling the dice on RG3 and having some immediate regret as it is the gaping asterisk on my fantasy roster when I could have taken a more steady qb with less upside but felt more secure in my choice (like a cutler). But if RG3s upside plays out I will be eating these words.

Julio Jones in the second. I'm the only one in the league who uses footballguys....everywhere else does not have Julio ranked as high. Should have went RB there and waited for Julio to drop to me in the third round. I went Calvin Johnson in the first. Was left with Richardson and Martin as my rb1 and rb2.

If youre waiting for Julio in the 3rd, youre probably going to be waiting a long time. Anyone who wants him bad enough is taking him in the 2nd.Im not too high on Trent considering the CLE offense, but you could do worse than him and Martin (who I actually prefer). It would be nice to have more experience there though.

Took Foster over Rice in my biggest $ league PPR. I had been planning on taking Rice for a month, but once the clock went on, I took Foster. For some reason, I think im going to regret it. Even with landing Tate in the later rounds.

No way you will regret it foster is a stud

I had a middling draft after dominating last year. Regrets. Reaching for J. Blackman at the 7.08 when most had him going in the 9th round. I could have taken P. Hillis, C. Benson, D. Wilson, etc. to shore up my RBs. Also, reaching for K. Wright at the 11.09. Taking Baltimore D at the 13.09 and forgetting to handcuff R. Bush. Someone took Thomas at the 13.11 before the draft came back around to me.

12 team redraft, .5 ppr, TE is NOT mandatory, but we have 2 RB/WR/TEX flex spots. I had 3rd overall pick & took Rice Rd 1. In the 2nd Rd, WRs started coming off the board for some reason, at my 2nd Rd pick (#22 overall), 6 WRs had already been taken. I grabbed AJ Green even though I had reservations about his QB & surrounding cast. I passed on Jimmy Graham. He of course got taken w/ the very next pick. :bag: I contributed to a positional run. Rookie mistake. :(

In the Football Guys Tournament PPR League on myffpc.com: My Beanie Wells Pick in the 7th, Mark Ingram picks in the 8th. Could have had David Wilson and Michael Bush (or a Titus Young and Michael Bush Combo)

I had a weird situation where I drafted some players in my first draft and liked my decisions, but then had my 2nd draft a few hours later (which had 2 more teams) and ended up with the same players several rounds later, which really bothered me ;-)

For instance, I grabbed Fitz in the late 2nd, then in the other league I grabbed him in the late 3rd. I grabbed Matthews in the top of the 3rd, but then got him in the 6th in the other league.

Just the psychology of this is what really bothered me - it just made me naturally think I reached for all those guys in the first draft. But the real truth is that they were probably closer to their natural value in the first draft, I just got lucky in the 2nd.

Big Ben as my QB in a 14-team league, as the 14th QB off the board in the 7th, with just one other owner not having a starter. I had a bad feeling about it but was worried a run was coming on backups. That run happened a round later, which meant I was able to pair him with Schaub in the 8th before 6 more guys disappeared with the quickness. I probably should have gone upside with Luck instead, or taken my TE had I the stones to wait one more round. Oh well.

I was trying to drive up the price of Adrian Peterson and whoops. Got stuck with him

I regret taking Maclin instead of RG3 in the 5th round (2 QB PPR Dynasty league and I drafted Luck as my QB1 in the 4th round). I was already stacked at WR, having taken Julio Jones in the 1st (5th overall :loco: ), A.J. Green in the 2nd, and Dez Bryant in the 3rd. I settled for Jake Locker in the 14th round. Oh, and I had to settle for Ryan Williams and Kendall Hunter/Daryl Richardson as my starting RB's. :bag: Shockingly, I'm 5-1, but still....

This year it was Ike Redman in a heavy keeper league.

Made "sense" at the time(I already owned Mendenhall, Ike was the unquestioned starter at end of camp, etc)....but I've never liked him much and think he's a complete plodder of a back.

I'd have rather red-shirted Desmond Bishop for a year(which was my 2nd choice), but decided to "play for now with the pick."

*sad panda*

My main redraft is VERY QB heavy. I took Stafford with the 8th overall. He's been killing me. Finally made switch to Luck this week. Ironically, in my main dyno, I'm going to try to buy Stafford after this week.

Brandon Lloyd at 5.5 over Percy Harvin

Rashad Jennings at 11.5 over Alfred Morris. Only took Jennings to use at RB2 week 1 while Mathews was out.

Demarco Murray early 2nd round when richardson and charles could have picked.

Hernandez 4th round and could have had mcgahee.

Also not taking mjd in 2nd round of every draft.

-Owning Murray in 4 leagues and watching him go down right before the soft part in his schedule AFTER his bye :banned:

-Selling low on Peyton Manning after the Atlanta game

-Buying low on Jennings in week 3

Other than that I feel that I normally do better in standard scoring/setup non-ppr leagues...

"Immediately regret"? None really. Later--sure, but hindsight is always a revelation! I missed out on some players I hoped would have fallen of course but that's always the bet you make.
