What pitcher would you want to face the least (1 Viewer)

What pitcher would you want to face the leasat? Leaving Tim Wakefield out of the equation I would say Jake Peavy. He has 95 mph fastball, a curve that drops off the table, and a sick slider. If you asked me 5 years ago I would say Randy Johnson hands down.

In the last 20 years: Rob Dibble or Randy Johnson

Today: Daniel Cabrera - throws 99 and has no freaking clue where it is going

Given that it's me, and I'd have no chance of hitting these guys anyway, I'd agree with Cabrera. If I was actually a pro ballplayer, I'd say Papelbon. Totally dominant, and just a bit crazy.

Mariano Rivera. His stuff scares me from the living room.
Rivera from 2008?Is it the 87 mph fastball or all the other pitches right down the middle of the plate that scares you so much?

Ever? Tempted to go with Juan Marichal for obvious reasons, but I'll stick with my first choice : Bob Gibson.

Nowadays? Steven Borkowski (if he's still playing)

:bag: Rob Dibble was absolutely sick. I remember a game that he broke the same guys bat(s) THREE times in the same AB. the 3rd time he came back to the dugout to get new lumber the bench was cracking up. Then Dibble cracked the next guys bat as well. He had a 89-90 mph slider for crying out loud.BTW, the best pitch ever is the Rivera's cutter. NO pitcher has ever been able to throw ONE speed and been so dominant. It is really amazing that the batters do not have to make any adjustment for speed and they still have trouble centering it after all these years.
