What player will never be on your FF team again. (1 Viewer)

I know you draft by value and if a player falls far enough he is worth taking.

A guy who I have had on my teams a couple of times but never again is Lee Evans. Not one 100 yard game this year. I know the Bills have a shaky QB situation but every year Evans seem to be drafted higher than he should on potential. Lee is not a kid, he will be 29 next season. Sorry Lee..have to let you go.

unfortunatly, probably Felix Jones. I like the guy's talent a lot, but he hurt me this year. Plus, i kept him over Ray Rice as my rookie keeper, and Rice ended being top 5 in my league. I wont be keeping Jones this year.

That being said, his TD yesterday and the fact that i still won the league has softened the blow. I had the same feelings towards DeAngelo williams but decided to give him one more shot last year. I was rewarded for that one. Maybe i'll take a similar plunge with Felix.

LT2, he saved his season with some scores, so he wasn't "awful" but I can not see it getting better for him going forward. It would not surprise me at all if they draft a RB to start replacing LT on early downs. I personally think Sproles will get more touches in the playoffs, it will be closer to 50/50 especially if LT does nothing early.

t.j. houshmandzadeh. I've seem to always wind up with him on my team in redraft because I value the reliable, heavily targeted possession receivers. He was a lot of talk this year and did not back it up at all. I am sure the Seahawks can and will improve, but Hasselbeck's multiple injuries make me leery. On top of that, Housh doesn't seem to take any responsibility for his level of play this year, so I think he's turned a corner and is just attempting to ride on the coattails of his past production. I had an inkling that he wouldn't be as good this year while facing double coverage and being the main receiving threat on the team, but I think it had less to do with that and more to do with his bad attitude.

Housh broke many a heart this past year.

Two guys I won't have again are Evans and Santana Moss. They are consistently below average. I would rather take a chance on a young guy with some upside. To me, these two guys are roster poison.

Greg Olsen. This guy killed me....I would play him three consecutive weeks and he would give me a goose egg. I would sit him, and he would have a big game. Guy drove me crazy all year.

Both RB McFadden OAK and WR1 Chiefs are nixxed from future consideration. You can not trust either to have successful months.

I am on board with Moss, although if Shanny takes over as speculated (and possibly gets his own QB), I might have a change of heart.

"never" is a long time, but in the future, if i have any reasonable alternative, i will not take Randy Moss. I want a player that will give you an honest effort commensurate with his ability every week, especially with my first pick. I want a a player whose coach will not yank the starters with 5 mins left down by 3 scores. I want a player that i dont have to worry about attitude overshadowing his play.

For another thread, could someone explain why its always stud wr's that we have to worry about these attitude, behavior type risks...seems moreso, by far, than any other position. (longing for the days of Jerry Rice)

Matt Forte, I once was a believer but I don't think the guy is that great even with a decent O-line.
I don't think he was ever healthy this year....
Matt Forte revealed that he suffered an MCL sprain during the season.Forte never missed a game even though he tweaked the knee in Week 3. This problem was just a piece of the puzzle, with preseason hamstring troubles and an underperforming line also contributing to Forte's bust of a season. If he can stay clear of nagging injuries, Forte will be a bounce-back candidate in 2010. He was one of nine backs that touched the ball 300+ times this season.Source: Chicago Tribune
He could be a value play in 2010.-I won't draft Brett Favre. If he plays another season in Minny, I see bad things in year 2.-Santana Moss is a given.-Chris Johnson is damaged goods now imo.....358 carries on a 5'11", 200 lbs (soaking wet) RB....I'm not buying, I'm selling.-Reggie Bush

and we didn't see that coming the day he signed with Seattle?!

Considering the volume of touches he got this year, I don't think you want him next year. It isn't often a RB gets that many touches and is very productive the next year.

When you're in so many leagues with so many parameters, it's difficult for me to ever exclude someone completely. There are lots of guys I find it hard to imagine I'll draft based on where I EXPECT them to be drafted, but funny things happen on the way to the Coliseum.

I think the interesting guys will be folks like Jerome Harrison and Jamaal Charles, who absolutely tore it up late in the season and certainly did enough (lots of carries and lots of production) to argue they could be highly productive if given the chance. In their cases, I'm hoping their teams draft or sign someone so both can be had in the mid rounds as part of a committee. But I could just as easily see these guys going way higher than is comfortable based on their strong finishes, where the smart move may be taking the other RB on the roster -- whoever that turns out to be.

On a personal note, the guys I'm usually hardest on are the ones I had an instinctual distaste for but let myself come back around on b/c of the analysis and debate on the Shark Pool and from my fellow staffers. To that end, I'm going to have a hard time with Darren McFadden or Matt Forte, both of which I initially was down on but then came back to consensus on this past year.

Def. ate poop in many leagues where I spent picks on McFadden and Royal.

Boldin had a decent year, but constant injury headaches + new team? or Leinart? = not drafting him next year or probably ever again.

Shockey - I think he's a moron, yet I still drafted him for one team (felt pressured for a TE in a money league, oh well). Hot start, but as usual was not a reliable play.

Actually that's not true at all. I disagree here, CJ will be only 25 next year and has never had any serious knee or ankle injuries. I will be all over him at #1 if I ever had the #1 pick.I have been in three leagues for over 12 years and never have had the #1 overall.

Steven Jackson. The dude wussed out during championship week and cost me big $$$$$. Plus a herniated disk - forget about it.

Reggie Bush - he's done.

Heard Jacobs on ESPN radio in NYC this morning state he hurt his knee in first game of season (did not use it as excuse for his subpar season). Now, that does not take his propensity for injury away, but, with this info, does that change any minds?

Will echo the Housh and DMC sentiments, as they were both killers, especially in the early season.

Braylon Edwards. Although, my computer decided to screw up during that round of the draft so I did not choose him myself.

Also, LT. =/
