What RB/WR Combo would you take for LT (1 Viewer)

IMO, if it doesn't involve SJax, you will not be getting good value for any RB/WR combo.

LT scored more than just about any two players out there that were RB and WR. And that's in ONE player. IMO, it will take a lot more than a RB and a WR to get him.

Maybe Frank Gore or LJ + Marvin Harrison if you're down on LT this year.

SJax + Housh seems fair to me, as many are projecting SJax to have a Tomlinson-ish year

It really all depends on what the rest of your team looks like and how many RB/wr/flex players you start. More info would be helpful.

I think you have to consider whether it is a keeper league or not. I would trade LT for S-Jax and Steve Smith in a keeper. LT has a lot of tread on his tires and while I think he will do well this year, I am not sure whether he will do better than a guy like S-Jax beyond that.

Im with him I dont think id trade that either. Whose the other receiver that will be benched is the question??? Is LT and say Coles better than Jax and Smith?????

Depends on league type.

Redraft - maybe for SJax/Smith

Dynasty - more likely for SJax/Smith

Keeper (5 or less) - no way. Every spot is precious.

WOW, Anthony. You wouldn't take SJax AND Steve Smith for LT ?I would say you are in the minority, swimming upstream on this one.
I'm swimming in the same direction I guess.... because I wouldn't take that combo for LT either.

:lmao: I know I won't be trading LT in one of the leagues I have him, at least without SJax/Gates and a good WR involved. Others might just take AD / Bush and Calvin Johnson for him. Too risky for me, but it could pay off.

agreed, as a general guide.

In a redraft I wouldn't trade him no matter what the offer. In a dynasty, probably it would need to be some combination ofSJax+ Bush || Gore || Addai+ Chad Johnson || Fitz

i own LT in a dynasty and if someone offered SJax + S.Smith/ChadJ/Holt/Wayne, maybe even Calvin, i would take it...redraft its another story.

I'm also an LT owner in one league, and I would click the button on this offer. But I am surprised at how many would not take it.

:towelwave: Why doesn't everyone just say they would not trade him. Most of these situations are flat ridiculous.

Do you expect LT to produce as much this year as he did last year (2000+ yards and 30+ TDs)? Because otherwise, I fail to see how this is relevant.

:towelwave: Say it with me now- O-Ver- Ra-TedO-Ver- Ra-TedO-Ver- Ra-TedWhat strikes me about these monthly "what would it take to trade Tomlinson" threads is that they're full of Tomlinson owners saying that they wouldn't trade him for less than some absurd offer. Notice how absent the non-Tomlinson owners are? That's because most of them have a more realistic value of Tomlinson and realize that they'll never have a shot at him.

The only way most people will trade him really is if they're on a rebuild in a dynasty. The only way most people will trade for him is if they have phenomenal depth to give.

I disagree. I view the difference between Tomlinson and S-Jax to be pretty small in dynasty (since S-Jax is 4 years younger), and would gladly trade Tomlinson for S-Jax plus another useful player, even if I wasn't rebuilding. In redraft, I'd trade Tomlinson for a top-10 and a top-20 player without much hesitation.

This discussion has had me intrigued all day - good concept

I looked through my fellow owners dynasty lineups (no one's dropped yet) and could only think of two or three deals that I'd do (keep in mind this is with existing rosters in my league - which of course you don't care about)

1) SJax, Ladell Betts, Tom Brady, Bears D

2) Willie Parker, Reggie Bush, Anquan Boldin

And if they guy who owned Peyton had a decent RB, I'd do

3) Peyton Manning, top 5 RB

Of course, I wouldn't be able to sleep for the next several months but I think I'd be coming out on top.

He won't come close to repeating last years numbers. Much more likely to drop back to 17 tds, than he is to run for 28, again..look at his 2004 numbers, thats where he's most likely to land, imo..1335-17, 53-441 Its back to reality for LT owners in 2006. M. Turner will see a lot of action in '07...

I agree, however, that you'll need to get a lot back for him.

I would `play up` the 31 tds in any trade I'd consider making..but , get the most for him now while you still can, because a drop-off from last years historical stats is on the way.....

strike while the iron is hot!

In a ppr league I'd think about trading him for a Gore/Steve Smith or Addai/Fitzgerald or Bush/Chad Johnson type combo if I needed WR help. LT's not gonna touch last year's numbers IMO.
