Feel free to report this comment if you enjoy this thread and actually enjoy speculating about fantasy football, on this fantasy football messageboard.Thanks.This is dumb and pointless, even for you.
He's on pace for 2,704 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns. That puts him in the first round.
Why would you assume that?Voted 4th or later assuming that Fred Jackson isnt the starter next year.
If Fred Jackson isn't the starter, you would take him the 4th round or later? If Spiller is the starter, I imagine he won't make it past the 2nd round (and probably not the first).Voted 4th or later assuming that Fred Jackson isnt the starter next year.
I think it's actually more challenging and interesting to take into account all the factors and come up with a solid speculation.I think you better define what happens between now and then to get more serious responses.
Are you aware that keeper leagues exist and some of us play them here? That'll probably depend on how he does for the rest of the year and what happens with the BUF RB situation in the offseason. You should start another one of these for PPR leagues, too. This is dumb and pointless, even for you.
And my disagreement is in the white space in between the lines you just read. Also, I dont think Fred Jackson wont be the starter next year in case that wasnt clear either. If Fred Jackson isn't the starter, you would take him the 4th round or later? Then I suspect this will be a pointless exercise. At draft time next year, we all will know what happened this year and have a very good idea as to what will happen next year. If Spiller goes nuts this year and they cut Jackson, Spiller will go early. If Spiller and Jackson split time the latter part of this year and Jackson takes on more of a lead role and he comes back next year, it will resememble what happended this year. If Spiller tears an ACL later in the year and they bring in or draft someone else, his stock will be much lower. We won't have to guess.I suspect what you are really asking is what people think will happen THIS YEAR vs. where he will get drafted next year.I think it's actually more challenging and interesting to take into account all the factors and come up with a solid speculation.I think you better define what happens between now and then to get more serious responses.
It wasn't clear because you said "assuming Fred Jackson isn't the starter next year".And my disagreement is in the white space in between the lines you just read. The topic specifically asks where he goes in non-PPR redrafts in 2013Are you aware that keeper leagues exist and some of us play them here? That'll probably depend on how he does for the rest of the year and what happens with the BUF RB situation in the offseason. You should start another one of these for PPR leagues, too. This is dumb and pointless, even for you.
But if he posted this in one of the multiple threads that already exist discussing Spiller's value, he wouldn't get as much attention (and yes, I realize I'm contributing to that.)I suspect what you are really asking is what people think will happen THIS YEAR vs. where he will get drafted next year.

This thread has a very specific focus that those threads are incapable of providing, try to keep up.But if he posted this in one of the multiple threads that already exist discussing Spiller's value, he wouldn't get as much attention (and yes, I realize I'm contributing to that.)
i was talking with a spiller owner about a mathews trade in my dynasty league yesterday. also, i am looking to trade calvin in another rebuilding dynasty league. the spiller owner has shown interest.gathering info about how spiller will be ranked next year is extremely relevant to me and i'm sure others as well. The topic specifically asks where he goes in non-PPR redrafts in 2013Are you aware that keeper leagues exist and some of us play them here? That'll probably depend on how he does for the rest of the year and what happens with the BUF RB situation in the offseason. If you missed it, it's possible Jackson could be out the first half of the season. LHUCKS seems intent to ponder what would happen moving forward this year and next if it did take that long for Jackson to come back.Isn't this a little early and premature? Did Fred Jackson retire or something?
Freddy cant stay on the field, whats the difference? he'll be 32 next year. I have the feeling the term "cut to save cap room" could be in his near future. Someone find the deal he just signed this offseason for meIsn't this a little early and premature? Did Fred Jackson retire or something?
5/7/2012: Signed a three-year, $10.805 million contract. The deal included a $3 million signing bonus. Another $2.3 million is available through incentives based on stats, Pro Bowls, and playoff berths. Jackson is eligible for annual $100,000 workout bonuses throughout the contract's life. 2012: $2.205 million (+ $100,000 roster bonus + $100,000 workout bonus), 2013: $2.15 million (+ $300,000 roster bonus due in March + $150,000 in per-game roster bonuses), 2014: $2.45 million (+ $150,000 in per-game roster bonuses), 2015: Free AgentNot sure I agree with the can't stay on the field part. He played in 65 straight games until he got hurt last year.Freddy cant stay on the field, whats the difference? he'll be 32 next year. I'm not too familiar with contract composition, is the bolded normal? So they'd be going into 2013 knowing they may end up paying him $2.15 + $.3 + $2.4 = $4.85 million. Or they could cut him before March and pay him nothing. Interesting...5/7/2012: Signed a three-year, $10.805 million contract. The deal included a $3 million signing bonus.
