Redraft PPR - Mid 2nd (RB6-8)

Redraft Non PPR - Mid 2nd (RB10-12)

Similar numbers for next season's dynasty drafts as well.

That'll probably depend on how he does for the rest of the year and what happens with the BUF RB situation in the offseason. You should start another one of these for PPR leagues, too.

This is dumb and pointless, even for you.

It depends on how he performs and what Jackson does in the off-season. I predict that Jackson struggles to return effectively from injury at all this year and Spiller puts up top 10 numbers. I think Jackson will stay in Buffalo and go into next season as the #2 in a committee situation. Spiller's ADP will start in the late 1st/early 2nd, but will slip to the late second as Fred Jackson again looks better in preseason.

I think you better define what happens between now and then to get more serious responses. IE, Spiller starts most of the year and puts up X, Y, Z numbers and Jackson is out of the picture next year. Or Jackson comes back and tears it up the second half of this year and both guys return next year, etc.

Clearly if he has 16 games like Week 1 and goes for 3,000+ YFS and scores 400 fantasy points he will go early in the first round next year.

A better question is, where would Spiller be picked if we drafted today? I think FBG has him too low at RB 18, but I guess it's hard to value a guy when you don't know how long he'll be starting.

#1 I think there will be a new regime in Buff next year.

#2 Freddy will be another year older (32) next year

Woudl take at the turn given a new regime and Freddy being the handcuff.

too many uncertainties to do anything but guess at this point. A lot will depend on Fred and his health.

Are you aware that keeper leagues exist and some of us play them here?

Voted 4th or later assuming that Fred Jackson isnt the starter next year.
If Fred Jackson isn't the starter, you would take him the 4th round or later? If Spiller is the starter, I imagine he won't make it past the 2nd round (and probably not the first).
And my disagreement is in the white space in between the lines you just read. Also, I dont think Fred Jackson wont be the starter next year in case that wasnt clear either.

I think it's actually more challenging and interesting to take into account all the factors and come up with a solid speculation.
Then I suspect this will be a pointless exercise. At draft time next year, we all will know what happened this year and have a very good idea as to what will happen next year. If Spiller goes nuts this year and they cut Jackson, Spiller will go early. If Spiller and Jackson split time the latter part of this year and Jackson takes on more of a lead role and he comes back next year, it will resememble what happended this year. If Spiller tears an ACL later in the year and they bring in or draft someone else, his stock will be much lower. We won't have to guess.I suspect what you are really asking is what people think will happen THIS YEAR vs. where he will get drafted next year.

It wasn't clear because you said "assuming Fred Jackson isn't the starter next year".

The topic specifically asks where he goes in non-PPR redrafts in 2013

But if he posted this in one of the multiple threads that already exist discussing Spiller's value, he wouldn't get as much attention (and yes, I realize I'm contributing to that.)

This thread has a very specific focus that those threads are incapable of providing, try to keep up.

i was talking with a spiller owner about a mathews trade in my dynasty league yesterday. also, i am looking to trade calvin in another rebuilding dynasty league. the spiller owner has shown interest.gathering info about how spiller will be ranked next year is extremely relevant to me and i'm sure others as well.

Isn't this a little early and premature? Did Fred Jackson retire or something?
If you missed it, it's possible Jackson could be out the first half of the season. LHUCKS seems intent to ponder what would happen moving forward this year and next if it did take that long for Jackson to come back.

Freddy cant stay on the field, whats the difference? he'll be 32 next year. I have the feeling the term "cut to save cap room" could be in his near future. Someone find the deal he just signed this offseason for me

5/7/2012: Signed a three-year, $10.805 million contract. The deal included a $3 million signing bonus. Another $2.3 million is available through incentives based on stats, Pro Bowls, and playoff berths. Jackson is eligible for annual $100,000 workout bonuses throughout the contract's life. 2012: $2.205 million (+ $100,000 roster bonus + $100,000 workout bonus), 2013: $2.15 million (+ $300,000 roster bonus due in March + $150,000 in per-game roster bonuses), 2014: $2.45 million (+ $150,000 in per-game roster bonuses), 2015: Free AgentNot sure I agree with the can't stay on the field part. He played in 65 straight games until he got hurt last year.

The poll doesnt specify it either.

I'm not too familiar with contract composition, is the bolded normal? So they'd be going into 2013 knowing they may end up paying him $2.15 + $.3 + $2.4 = $4.85 million. Or they could cut him before March and pay him nothing. Interesting...

Agreed. This isn't the old "Fragile Freddy" from JAX...

He'll go exactly the same or lower than he did this year if FJax comes back and takes over the job. Look at how low Spiller went when Spiller FINISHED the season on a high note. Imagine him finishing on a low note?
