What shows would you like to see brought back for 1 last season? (1 Viewer)

The Obama Administration.  It didn't get good ratings but it's better than any of the new shows this year.

Millennium

Pushing Daisies

Dead Like Me

The 4400

Carnivale

I would like a complete reboot of The Dresden Files with writers actually familiar with the source material

Dead Zone

Disagree with Firefly and LOST. Firefly got its resolution with the movie and LOST got lost and I don't think you can recover from that.

The obvious answer here is Firefly.
Yeah, that would have to be it.

That, or Chuck. I'd go Firefly because they got royally screwed, and the show just deserved far more. Chuck got very lucky to get 5 seasons, and got to tell their story, but I'd kill to see 12 more episodes of Chuck, Sarah, and Casey.

Jericho if the execution of the series was a bit different. Less big conspiracy type stuff and more of watching an entire small town adapt to a post-nuclear world.

Lost if they got back to their roots
On the very first episode, they introduced the idea of a GD smoke monster ravaging through the forest.

I don't know why I didn't back out right then and there...  but the storytelling and flashback stuff was all pretty cool at first...

I've never regretted getting into a television show more and investing actual time watching and discussing it with friends or people on this website...  I suppose that's on me for not quitting it, but it always seemed like it could be going somewhere cool.   Turns out they were just trolling us the entire time to see how stupid they could write things and still have people (althoug a declining number each season) tune in.

F you lost producers..  you bamboozled me out of hours of my life

I lament the fact that they didn't come up with a better last season but your comments about investing so much time and energy in to the show just shows how unique it was.  It was a fantastic 4-5 seasons of shows that were entertaining as hell, that doesn't change just because the ending sucked.

Rome. There are so many stories and directions you could take the show. I am a history dork and love period pieces so Rome is slam dunk for me.

It was unique...   but when they started doing stupid crap like island warping, i should've quit right then.. it was dumb.. i knew when i was watching it that it was dumb.   There's no questions there was some good TV in there in the first few seasons.

If I have a weakness in life it's not knowing when to fold a crappy hand...  i'll watch a show or read a book or watch a movie until the end, even it's garbage.   Hell, I'll finish the leftovers of a crappy meal.

It's one of the main reasons I don't start any new TV shows that are story based.     I'll watch a show like Last Week Tonight  or one of those stupid house hunting shows because there's no story and if it ends it ends.

I haven't started a new story based show in awhile though (silicon valley wast the last) because there's too much potential disappointment.

Yup... Carnivale over Firefly because at least we got a nice bow on FF with Serenity.  Another dozen episodes or so of them having adventures would be cool and all... but the overall storyarch of River discovering what that school/program and her captivity about are over... so now what?  Deprogramming? Meh

Carnivale could use another season to tie up some loose ends and answer some questions about The Management and have Ben Hawkins and the Preacher have a showdown.

Another canceled HBO show that prob won't have many votes but I kind of would've like to see where they were going with it, was John from Cincinnati  :bag:

We've had this discussion numerous times and you are wrong.

Quick explanation for those asking about Angel/Buffy comics

=======================

After Buffy and Angel went off the air, Whedon continued the story lines via comics.

*Buffy's are pretty easy to follow since it is a simple season 8 and season 9, each with 25 comics plus some one shots.

*Angel comics are set up a bit different because of different publishers.

1) You want to start with a 17 book series called Angel: After the Fall (this picks up directly where season 5 left off).

2) Angel's story line then continues in a long running series called Angel and Faith (which has a tie in with Season 9 of Buffy so there is some over lap in the stories)

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.  The show was vastly under-rated and the second season had a mind-bender of a cliff-hanger ending I would have loved to have seen where they took it.
Thank you.  The only reason I didn't answer with TSCC initially is that I would want it brought back for multiple additional seasons.  I took the original question to call for shows that had a pretty good run but still left you wanting a bit more.

TSCC's cancellation was one of the worst TV programming decisions in the last 10-15 years, basically the new golden age of TV.   Unreal.  Will never forgive Fox for it.

Sarah Connor Chronicles was good not great but worth seeing more of.  That cast would probably be fairly pricy now though.

NYPD Blue (even though its ending was arguably perfect)

Don obviously went back to McCann, they made that pretty clear in the final scene. As to what happens in his life? I think it was also clear in the series that he could never settle down and would never live a normal happy life - just who the guy was, a genius and a moron wrapped in one.

Just Lena Headey in terms of any pricier.  BAG, Dekker and Summer Glau would probably sign up in seconds.

1) they'd have to kill him right?  the lead actor is now dead.

2)  Totally agree,  larry david's small episode on SNL Bern your enthusiasm made me want more Larry for certain.

Other than Curb, there's really not anything I'm longing for that was previously cancelled.    Some things are better left dead.

Everytime I've thought I wanted more...  like Dumb and Dumber or Anchorman...  it turns out I really didn't want more.
Tony Soprano was (presumably) already killed in the final moment of the finale.
