What sneakers are you sporting? (1 Viewer)

As long as they're clean, you're good. Shoes are so subjective, and hardly universal. You have to take into account your height, shoe size, what you're wearing them with, and if the shoe fits true to size. But the main thing is that they're clean. Just know that if you're wearing some old, nasty, dusty pieces of crap that it gets noticed. If you wanna come across as an independent man with his life together, spend some time thinking about this. Because if you are an old man with dirty, tired shoes I'm going to assume either your mom or your wife dresses you, and she gave up a long time ago. Keep your shoes fresh bro. That's all that matters.

My guess is that they're pretty new and people are complimenting the cleanliness rather than the actual shoe itself. Congrats on that.
My post with the link to the NBs was a joke.  Living in FL, I see those NB's on many dudes over 60.  I'm not knocking them but they aren't exactly stylish.

I agree that cleaniness makes a hugh difference.

In Wisconsin dudes in their mid 40's and older rock those.  Typically with faded jeans.

i have had ankle/achilles issues from being flat footed. went with my wife to buy her new brooks running shoes and they had a pair of saucony iso rides on sale.  i went for the wide and they are supportive and cushioned, while the tongue is stitched in and doesn’t float.  highly recommend.

Comfort and cost are what I tend to look at most. My local store always has Filas on clearance, sometimes as high as 75% off list.
Same.  I've gone with Saucony the past couple times.  Big 5 always has them for cheap and they're always pretty comfy.  I don't run :bag:  but I do walk a bit so I want something that's going to be ultra-comfy.

Got a pair of shoes off of wish for $12 took out the insoles and replaced them with my old shoes insoles, been wearing them for over a year now. Although they're starting to break down.
