What the Skinny on Braylon Edwards.... (1 Viewer)

When he got to Michigan, he had a small attitude but I remember Lloyd Carr calling him out a little during his sophomore year. After that, he was all work and did everything he could to leave as one of the best UM receivers ever. More importantly, he blocked and he hustled on every play at practice and in every game--because he wanted team success and not just Braylon-success. He loves to win and is willing to work to make it happen.

His heart and work ethic are big time.

I was just going to pretty much echo these setiments before I saw this post. I remember watching him in his early days at Michigan and thinking "doesn't a WR have to be able to actually catch the ball". He improved dramatically from his early Michigan days to graduation four years later. I don't think he was a huge recruit out of high school. He worked himself into a great WR and player.

Thanks....When you said Lebron type, I took that to be very +. I think Lebron is a class act
Exactly what I meant, I'm in Cleveland and it's hard to root for anyone from Michigan, but the guy's character and work ethic won me over well before anything I saw in a football game. Above all he's a team player and will sacrifice his body to get a RB an extra yard.

FWIW, as a Pistons fan who dislikes everything to do with Ohio, Lebron has won me over. As a Michigan fan who followed Braylon's development, this seems very high praise, but fairly accurate. I won't put him in the same caliber as Lebron as far as his dominance over the entire league, but work ethic, character and potential are there.
