What to expect for MoMo today? (1 Viewer)

Think I'm going to use Morris today instead of Antonio Bryant at a flex spot. I know alot of people think Morris should be reserved against the Bears, but looking at the Bears against RBs so far this year I notice that Ahman Green had a pretty decent day against the Bears, the Lions only rushed 14 times versus the Bears in Week 2 (because they fell behind so quickly) and Taylor found some room last week against the Bears.

Curious as to what some of you guys think about Morris this week.

This could just be me trying to make myself feel better since I'm gonna start him over Jamal Lewis, Dominic Rhodes and Marques Colston, but I think he could surprise some folks tonight. I wouldn't expect BIG rushing numbers, but I think he could break off some nice plays out of the backfield catching passes, perhaps a well planned and setup delayed screen pass or two.

In a PPR, I think that he will have a decent day with # of carries but the yardage may be limited. I am starting him also in the OFLEX position.

With Tatum on a bye and Green banged up, I'm going with Morris as rb2 this week.

I'm hoping for about 80 yards rushing and 50 receiving. A touchdown would be nice too but I think if they get close then Mack Strong will vulture the TD's.

70 total yards , td's go to mack strong unless morris can break off a long run and/or catch a pass and take it to the house.

I'm guessing about 75 total yards and about 40% TD chance.

Not sure why so many are predicting Mack Strong to vulture at the goalline.

It's going to be hard for him to replace SA's whopping 50 or so yards a game...

That said, I think Mack Strong is in there a lot (blocking on 4 wr sets) and takes carries away from him, but MoMo is a better receiver than SA so that might make up for it. I could see him getting about 70-80 yds or more total since he has a habit of getting a few good 15-20 yd rips in every game. Much more valuable in ppr leagues than others. And of course he isn't as big as SA or Strong so RZ touches could be scarce.

My gut prediction: 55 yds rushing/40 rec 1 td

I just benched MoMo as my flex and put in Driver instead. I think I'll wait to see what he can do before I start him...

I keep reading this, but not sure where its coming from. I specifically remember watching Morris drop multiple passes that hit him in the hands. I've never seen him make a great catch, not even one. The jury still has to be out on this issue for us as he's not had much of a chance in this area. I could understand if it was coming from the coaching staff that see him in practice every day, but I haven't seen that as a source for this comment yet.

Maybe it comes from seeing him make a couple of good runs after a catch coming out of the backfield and not remembering the drops and bad non-catches. Compared to SA not being as much involved in the passing game the last few years. Remembering only the good and not the bad. I'm fully willing to admit that it isn't true and my memory is serving me poorly.
