This constant meme of Biden being too old, suffering from dementia, has been an utter failure. It failed in the election, its failing even more now. His approval rating is soaring.

Exactly. They are "fortifying" the next four years, Biden is just a frontman and checking off boxes these days. Come to think of it, this is what I envisioned a successful Trump four years consisting of (and letting him take all the credit), but he messed it up. It's funny reading Tim and others trying to convince posters that the majority of D votes were because of Biden's policies or he is really making a difference. I don't miss the nonstop media circus of Trump at all though.

I do. He's a figurehead for the Democratic Party right now. There isn't a whole lot he's doing that doesn't seem straight out of a playbook whereby the moderate centrists of the DNC absorb the progressive wing and sort of subsume it by feeding them cookies of policy every so often while also retaining power and seeing how much they can get away with before 2024. If this were a true progressive, we'd have an attempt at 52 states and 13 S. Ct. justices by now. We may still be getting that.
The immigration crisis? He's not on top of it at all. He's whipping through notes at the presser like when a quarterback flips through plays on his wrist that are radioed in from the coach.
He's slower than all get out. Someone is running that show there. I can't believe you actually believe any differently.

It isnt exactly a crazy theory. Listening to him tail off sometimes reminds me of teddy ruxpin when the batteries were running out and tapping him would make him get going again. Could definitely be a secret villain in there controlling him.

That's laughable. My Twitter feed is full of hardened progressives that keep asking about kids in cages and when it's going to end. I think El-P of Run The Jewels quipped something to the effect of "You know, it wouldn't take much for the President to end the whole kids in cages thing. Just sayin'"
Progressives didn't vote for this guy. They voted for however they could get their agenda through.

Figurehead maybe...but the cabal of leftists has zero basis in fact...handlers and all that are no different than any advisor of any normal previous president. He screwed up immigration...i have said that numerous times. He delegated that now to his VP...also not an unusual tactic.
Yeah...sorry, I don't believe he is some sort of puppet because there is zero substance to actually back that up.
Sure it is...to claim some cabal of people are controlling him is a very awful and unsupported theory.

All Presidents are essentially told what to do. Those people are called advisors and also serve in various official roles. The President then decides what he wants to do.
It's a question of how much a particular President leans on those advisors in their final decision. Someone like Trump...certainly not enough but he was also influenced. Someone like Obama...I'd guess just about right but he was also influenced.
Biden...for me there is little doubt that the gears of the advisory machine are largely making the decisions for him. I see sometimes he makes a principled stand that sounds like the real Joe Biden and thats great, but unfortunately overall its hard not to see him struggling to keep up and really just going with the flow praying that he doesn't forget what he's supposed to say or why he's saying it. Call that a figurehead or a puppet...same difference to me.

The border issue isn't going away soon and it's killing the DNC across the board. This isn't just Biden anymore, but the risk is all down the ticket in the next cycle.
Losing the Latino vote will flip some Blue major strongholds. Having kids essentially packed together into COVID19 "hotboxes" isn't going to do much to secure that specific vote.
