What will happen with the 08 Titans offense under Dinger? (1 Viewer)

What does the Dinger do to TN from a fantasy perspective? Will Crumpler be a top 5 TE if he stays healthy? Will VY get to top 10? Will one or two of their WRs actually become startable? Will VY take a pounding because of the longing to fling the ball downfield? Will VY throw 20 INTs this yr?

What is your take and who if anyone are you buying? Who are your TN sleepers? Lendale

Don't see Crumpler nearing the top 5. He needs a QB.Vince Young will never break the top 10.This move is consistent with Young's only real ability as a passer; hitting the TE with short passes. The Titans' defense remains the team's best fantasy option, along with maybe Bironas.

I believe with all the trouble in Atlanta and his heath issues, Crumpler was still around TE13 in PPR. So top 10 or maybe even top 7 should be out of the question. Anyone high on Roydell Williams?

Im going to bump this thread this year when your wrong

MOre shotgun, which is good news. More downfield passing. More YPA, lower completion %. Lendale off guard a LOT.

Vince Young will never break the top 10.
Only if your league doesnt value rushing yards.2500/16, 700/6 will easily make him a top 10 FF QB, and that would be a bad-to-horrible season for an NFL QB from a passing perspective.

Well, seeing as how I'll be the WR3 option...
Johnson and Hackett are still out there....but yeah, with WR and DE becoming screaming needs, it would be nice to know what the Titans are planning on doing at those positions.Would love to see the Titans grab Hackett at WR, Josh Thomas at DE, and then draft the best defensive lineman or interior offensive lineman available in the first round.

Radio rumor - Johnson may be signed by the Titans soon, if not already.

Justin Gage, Brandon Jones and Bryant Johnson at WR. Scaife and Crumpler at TE. It just doesn't sound scary. I'd have to think that Jones is the odd man out in the starting line up. What happened to Paul Williams and Chris Davis they drafted last year. Are young receivers drafted by the Titans doomed never to see the field (the Calico curse?).There may be value somewhere inthat mess if the run game is up to snuff and Young can keep improving YOY.

Roydell Williams will be in the mix as well. Putting up 700+ in his third season was a good step for him. They really need an player to step up beyond Young to give teams something to think about. Gage and Williams posted similar uninspiring numbers to lead the team and Lendale's 3.7 avg just isn't going to strike fear in anyone. They need another playmaker to step up open up the offence.

As long as the offense is serviceable, which I think it will be and I'm telling everyone, Chris Henry will be a major player this next year - maybe not a 1,000 yard rusher, but a major part of the offense overall; the Titans will be a contender for the playoffs again. If they were NFC, they'd be a division champ. Their defense will carry them even after losing Odom and Laboy.

The Titans simply are never going to be an exciting offensive team. It isn't their MO under Fisher, never has been. He's had an offense in the top-THIRD of the league in total yards 4 times and the top-THIRD in points 3 times. They will run A LOT. They will be in the middle of the pack in yards and points. And they will rely on strong D and timely special teams to compete.

No Roydell Williams?Paul Williams is a long-term project; he may see some time as a #5 this year, but I wouldn't expect much. Chris Davis has a role as a return man and a #4 WR, but hes not going to crack the top 3 until he gets more consistent.
