What would be the preferred title - Job Position (1 Viewer)

Currently a project engineer for small to medium sized company.  My boss the "director of facilities" is retiring.  They have offered me the position, except different title (and lower salary grade) of Manger, Maintenance and Facilities.  This position is what I would consider a Plant Engineer position.  Is it better to have the "Manager" on your title or would a change to Plant Engineer be better for future job opportunities?

Floppo brings up a solid point, I'd avoid 'plant engineer' - that one is open to interpretation.

Good thing you asked before taking the position, because it sounds like they have you maintaining one of these.
