FWIW I work at a financial institution and our entry level positions for an accountant require a bachelors degree and start off in the $40k range.

I don't think strolling your way to $20/hr job with zero real life accounting experience will be quite as easy as you're envisioning it being.
Well, wtf? What's the point of getting an Associates Degree in Accounting? What am I looking at here? $15 - 17 an hour?

Did you not research this??? A two minute google search suggest the average pay for such a degree is about $32K.

If I continue at Baker College, most of the credits should transfer. As far as other Universities, I'm not sure. The biggest hiccup is that I'm getting my Associates in Accounting and am going for my Bachelors in Business Administration.
:wall:
No! The credits will transfer, I just don't know how well the programs would "sync up" so to speak.

Please don't buy a house man. Seriously. I can't think of anything dumber you could do, other than unprotected sex. Don't do that either.

Congrats, you purchased the least desirable part of the plant....and overpaid at that.

Better get your time machine out so you can go back to 1998 and sell some necklaces.

I don't get why not. A house is an asset, especially if it's an income property. I've seen what people charge for rent in this area and I damn well know how much a mortgage would cost me. I could have some dumbasses paying for my mortgage all while padding my wallet!

Some chump pays me $800 a month to live there. I put 20% down and it's paid off in less than 10-years.

Hey man! You can make rope with that stuff, OK?

But seriously, they've got fields upon fields of marijuana growing in China. This is a company you want to have money in.

Not bad, if I can find a whore to hold up her end of the bargain we could definitely afford a house.

a whore?

This is an excellent idea. But keep in mind, you need to buy a big house. If you buy a small house, you won't be able to sell it for as much when the market goes through the roof. I suggest something near $800,000. That's not a mansion, but still a nice size place for you and your forthcoming #####es. And don't get a pool right away. I know that it'll be tempting to have the honeys in g-strings lounging by the pool, but wait a year. Get your landscaping done in the front and then a year later, BAM! A flipping pool with a waterfall and elevated Jacuzzi.

HTH
I think Sheik's advice about buying a home that he gave you two weeks ago is still spot on!

I'm not sure you know who the #######/chump is here. Any potential income you make will be negated by repairs/lost months after somebody moves out and nobody moves in. Not to mention YOU DON'T HAVE THE MONEY TO BUY A HOUSE.

A house is only an asset if you buy the right house in the right area.

You buying a house is dumb enough. You buying a house for someone else to live in is why people thinking you're fishing us here.

There's actually only a slight chance that you're not.

I mean, I don't get what you guys are saying. I know tons of people who rent homes and apartments out to people. Is the main gripe here that I WOULDN'T have the entire thing paid off and would essentially be losing money due to interest?

What gives? I'd obviously want my own nest-egg first but I definitely want to be a landlord in 7 - 8 years.

Good thing there's nothing else involved in buying and owning a house besides the price paid.
Property tax, yeah-yeah-yeah. Furnace breaks, yeah-yeah-yeah.
What are you gonna do when the house sits empty for 3 or 4 months because you can't find a chump to rent it?
Lower the price? Dunno, mortgages would probably come pretty cheap for a house $80,000-.

You understand your interest rate will also be higher if you aren't the primary resident (investment property)... So remember to lie to the bank when filing the paper work.

Towards the end, I was pretty much middle-manning transactions from people on EBAY and AMAZON and making about $6.00 - 8.00 on transaction. The problem was the average phone cost like $50 - 70. So if I ended up selling 8 phones in a week, I'd have to pony up about $540 which Amazon would hold for 2-weeks.
I have been working really hard for the last 20 years trying to get to the point where I clear $64/week. I'm still hoping to get there one day.
See, comments like this make me want to block you.

I was simply MIDDLE MANNING these transactions. All I had to do was copy-and-paste a few shipping addresses and win a few auctions on eBay. I was hoping to get to the point where I was selling 50 - 60 phones in a week. That would be an extra $400 - 500 bucks a week.

Would have been $1,600 a month or around an extra $19,000 a year. Problem is, you'd need about $5,000 of play money set aside to make this possible.
If you reinvested your profits you'd be at the 5 grand in no time. And if it's so lucrative you'd be redirecting the money you're using to invest back to the cell phone business. Since you're not I can only assume that it's not THAT lucrative. I'd love it if you would go back to the cell phone business. But either way this is entertaining stuff.
I ####ed up. I sold too many phones that I couldn't afford and got banned from Amazon.
ima fan but this is funny.

Honestly you have to get out of mom's house. Find a roomie and move out. How old are you? 23? You should be banging some new chick every weekend. Having fun. Not worried about some piss ### 50 dollar return on some #### stock. Do you have any idea how much money that isn't? I spent more than that on lunch Friday.

There's a chance one day you'll make good money and have a nice career. Make your money then. You're going to wonder why you spent your 20s living at home chasing tens of dollars.

What about property taxes? Homeowners insurance?

I expect this stock to go up more than 30% by the end of the year, good investment for me.

Had someone tell me the mortgage is a small part of home ownership. The mortgage includes property taxes and insurance so that must be some faulty and expensive furnaces. Not to mention what the illegals are charging you to mow the grass.

Money you make as a landlord is taxable income. Add in property taxes and repairs and you'll probably be bankrupt in no time.

Absolutely not. Why move and pay when he doesn't have to? Stay as long as you can. Where is the rule where you can't chase wild women, drink, do some blow, and raise some hell living with the parents?

Also note, this stock is only worth 7 cents right now. It only went up a penny today and that was enough to warrant a 24% increase. This is going to be one of the most overvalued stocks of the year, imo.

If you find the right time to get in-, get-out. You'll be golden.

You also expect your college credits to transfer, when some of them already didn't and some of them won't when you switch schools again.

You also expected to make money selling cellphones, and got banned from amazon instead.

You also expected to be making money on 2 stock moves you made in the last week or so, but you didn't take into account transaction fees and you lost money.

If somebody else had that track record you wouldn't follow their advice. You'd realize that they didn't know what they were doing.

But it's comfortable thinking you have it all figured out, and that your plans are hot and bound to succeed, so you'll probably continue what you've been doing.

For that, you're wonderful.

So you defrauded so many people that you're banned from the best site on the Internet?

Slightly revised plan:

1. Get approved for as many credit cards as you can.

2. Max out the cash advance on all of them.

3. Use the cash as a down payment on a house. (Put the money in your savings account for 3-6 months first to season so it doesn't raise any red flags during the mortgage process.)

4. Rent out the house for money (don't mention this part during the mortgage process, what the bank doesn't know won't hurt them.)

5. Use the rent money to buy penny stocks.

6. Make buku money, do 2 chicks at once, etc.

I still wonder why people waste time and money on an associates degree. I earned my bachelor's in finance without even considering my associates.

In most cases I think the person is preparing for a four year degree. The two year degree is a stepping stone from a community college and then you transfer to a four year institution to finish. It's cheaper in a lot of states to go that route.

Yes I understand that. I did that route but did not dish out the extra 4 classes worth of tuition to finish my associates. You only need a certain number of credits to transfer.

Most people who go this route never make it
