What's going on with Eli Manning? (1 Viewer)

3 out of the last 4 games he's thrown under 200 yards.

Last 4 games, 2 TD's and 4 INT's

Fantasy points

5 and under 2 weeks in a row and hasn't gotten 20 for owners in a month

Are things going to turn around soon or should owners start looking elsewhere?

Concerned. Can look so good at times and then he sometimes gets out of sync with his receivers. Thinks they are going to a spot and they turn the other way. Definitely need to tighten it up. Not hitting the deep stuff either, tried a few times to Nicks and other than a few PI's got nothing. I still think they are an elite passing attack, but are playing very conservative football. Maybe the loss today shakes them up.

I don't know about elite passing attack.

Has only thrown for more than 300 yards in 3 of 9 games.

Has only 2 games with 3 TD's.

6 games with 1TD or less.

They keep trying to hit the big play and are overusing the sideline throws to their WRs; it's becoming predictable. They don't run many screens or short routes over the middle. Defenses have been expecting this and receivers aren't getting as open. Manning is getting frustrated and compounding the problem by forcing throws and making poor decisions. And at the end of today's game, it all fell apart when the O-line couldn't protect.I expect them to get it back together pretty soon. But I think it has to start with the playcalling. Also, not sure what to think about Nicks. The play early in this game where Manning threw deep to him and he got his hands on the ball before having it batted away is one where he usually gets higher up and secures that ball easily.

I've got enough things wrong with my team as is; if Eli keeps playing like garbage, I have no shot.

I used to appreciate that the Giants would take shots downfield, but yeah, maybe it's time to scale it back. Getting tired of seeing Eli throwing up his hands and wondering what the hell happened every other throw.

I've watched every game as a Giants fan, and part of it has been random. Up to a point, Eli had at least a handful of passes completed inside the 5. I'd be curious to see how many TD's Bradshaw and Brown have run in from the 5 or closer. But the past 3 weeks have been putrid and I have no explanation for it.

Yeah, I can no longer trust him. He's like last year's Alex Smith. Gotta take my chances with Romo going forward. I know he'll at least guarantee me double digit points. :hangover:

Out of curiosity I checked the box scores.

Week 1 - Bradshaw 10-yd TD run, Victor Cruz gets mugged on a defensive holding that replacement refs miss, should have been a passing TD

Week 2 - Monster Tampa Bay game

Week 3 - Brown with two 1-yd TD runs

Week 4 - Eli has a 2 TD game vs. Philly

Week 5 - Eli gets 3 TD's vs. Browns

Week 6 - Bradshaw 1-yd TD run

Week 7 - Bradshaw 1-yd TD run, Brown 1-yd TD run

Week 8 - Brown 1-yd TD run

Week 9 - Brown 1-yd TD run

I mean, look at all those 1 yard TD runs. It's even more than I thought it would be.

Interesting. I wonder...when they get in the redzone, are they just running the ball more often in general? Also wondering what their redzone percentage is and how often they have to settle for field goals? Mostly wondering if things will get turned around. Trade deadline is coming up in a lot of people's leagues.

For all of his postseason heroics, I think some have forgotten that Eli has never been a consistent, every week stud fantasy QB. Last year was probably his ceiling (29 TD passes and 4,900 passing yards), so it shouldn't be a surprise that he is a bit off the pace considering some of the defenses he has been facing (Dallas twice, Pittsburgh).
