Whats it going to take for Waldman...... (1 Viewer)

Waldam advised us last week to "drop Amendola"....well we see how that would have worked out...below is this weeks waiver wire/upgrades/downgrades.

WR Danny Amendola, STL - *** POTENTIAL WAIVER WIRE GEM *** - I told you to drop Amendola last week and if you did, he responded with a 15-catch, 160-yard, 1-touchdown performance where you're probably cursing me. My apologies, but if I had to make the recommendation again I wouldn't have changed a thing. Amendola is no better than a low-end WR3 in fantasy football for most weeks and because he's on a team that lacks a deep threat it's likely this will be his best game of the year. I'm seeking players with greater upside than borderline WR3 potential. He's a safe flex-play in start-four wide receiver leagues and worth adding to your team at the 3-5 percent bid in this case. However, as a WR3 he's still more difficult to recommend with the Bears, Seahawks, and Cardinals on the horizon.

Low end wr3? Is there something i am missing here? A refusal to admit a glaring oversight. Drop the "Wes Welker of the west"?

I was not about to drop him and started him as my wr3 with confidence. I also intend to do it again and feel he can rise to a wr2 and catch 100 balls in 2012-is he ppr gold or a pretender?

are you kidding? He's had plenty of games with stats nowhere near what he did yesterday. The Redskins lost two very good/great defensive players yesterday, do you honestly think that Amendola puts those stats up against a good defense.

I like guys with an opinion not necessarily backed by yesterday's stats.

Rught or wrong, kudos to Waldman. He made his case, now time will tell if he is correct.

He caught like the first 11 passes of the game lol. I'm sure teams will catch on to that. I do think he has welker like talent but he doesn't play for the Pats or have Brady throwing him the ball.

So are we to the point where an apology is expected every time a staffer is wrong about something.

You didn't listen and you where right. You win. So what's the problem here? Staff opinions are nothing more than that, opinions. You have to sort thru them and see if you agree based on your own analysis.

Clearly he will sustain this weeks performance against the Bears, Hawks, and Cards. It couldn't be more obvious.

If you need a player that others are overlooking and will consistently get targets then he is a very good option. My biggest question around him lines up behind center. If that improves then a burning is in order but you will be too busy counting your fantasy winnings to participate.

I wouldn't be surprised if no one puts those type of stats up all year against any defense. If you're in a PPR league, Amendola's a must roster. If you're not, you probably don't care.

I never saw the value in the "Offensive Upgrades/Downgrades" piece. It's nothing more than a weekly list of; "upgrading players" that had a good day, coupled with a list of "downgrades" for players that had a tough day, along with a "holding steady" list of every other skill player that didn't make either of the other two lists... with some embellishment. As a bonus you get the "waiver wire gems" list of back-ups that match the list of weekend injuries to starters.

Should be re-named to Knee Jerk Reactions.

What does the RSP say about Amendola? Is the DraftGuys TV profile of Amendola on youtube? I can't find it, is it unlisted?

I think he just did. He recommended dropping him last week and now is saying to pick him up.
