Never have. Seems like a luxury expense that I just can't make myself pull the trigger on for some reason. I've hinted to the wife a time or three while in Sam's Club and we pass them, so if I get one for Christmas I'd be glad to receive it and happy to use it, but until then I'll keep moving my arm back and forth like an animal I guess.

I have one that has a battery inside so it vibrates during usage - but I don’t think it’s technically an electric toothbrush. Once the battery ends (it’s been about six or seven months so far), it’s just a toothbrush.

Have owned both Sonicare and Oral B, personally have strong preference for Oral B, have a mid-cost model that cost about $100, also sneaky cost difference is the replacement heads for Oral b are considerably cheaper.

You can get 3rd party replacement heads that work just fine.
actually am all about this for other products for these never had good luck, often found these to be inferior quality, not something i'm willing to sacrifice for my teeth, but maybe others have had better luck.

My dad was a dentist. Swore by Sonicare being a game changer... I've used it ever since. And despite poor flossing habits, perfect bill of health every dental visit.
Yep - the only issue I ever had was I wasn't brushing "hard enough" with the sonicare..... My first appoinment back she was like waht brush do you use etc. I was like I bought a sonicare right after our last visit...... she was like there is no way you are using one.... she explained you still need to brush your teeth. I was kind of just letting it work all buy its self lol

🤷 it seems to keep my teeth cleaner. The one I have, sonicare, is less than $50 and has lasted me over ten years. Apical care (knockoff brand?) heads cost $16 for 6. Definitely worth it IMO. I sometimes use a regular one when traveling and I notice a difference.

My dad was a dentist. If he were still around, he might've known a guy who could hook you up with new batteries.

Started using Sonicare a couple years ago and it’s definitely improved my overall dental health. I get the off-brand replacement heads from Target which saves quite a bit.

Sister-in-law is a dentist, so every year at Christmas we get the latest Oral-B model. She gets a few dozen as samples. I'll gladly take them. I have zero doubt that an electric brush is more effective than a standard one - and I'll gladly take a freebie!

I don't know why I stopped using my Sonicare. I should get a new head for it and go back to using it.

Yeah, I buy the cheap ones on amazon. It's like $15 for a six pack. After changing the brush head, it can be a little painful for a few days. Guess that means it works.

$125 per cleaning and I am in the dentist chair 3x a year.
I don't carry any dental insurance, I wasn't always like this, I didn't go much when i was in my 20s, a little more in my 30s and since I still have pretty nice teeth I go often.
Once in a while if a tooth feels a little soft we do an X-Ray

I love my dental hygienist as well as my regular dentist and when my insurance was not going to work with their office, just dropped it and pay for the cleanings out of pocket.
Harder to accrue cavaties when you brush/floss and get them cleaned professionally and often

I see people older than i am and some of them have not taken care of their teeth, i believe it impacts other health issues with people.
Some people spend more money on their pets than they do on their own teeth, gotta take care of yourself
