I didn't see the other slides. The slide I linked to was not about a doofus kid, it was about a doofus teacher in a doofus school run by a clan of doofuses.

As a math teacher, I don't personally care if they read, as long as they don't interrupt others and get their work done. The problem is that they'd rather play on their phones, which gets taken away and given to the dean, or they face a short suspension. Is it perfect? Yeah, I almost always resist the urge to correct grammar. After all, it would be a full-time job around here.

But there's just something about people using the word whomever -- especially incorrectly -- that compels me to call them out.
