What's the best fantasy football podcast? (1 Viewer)

Footballguy
Coming a bit late to the show this year...don't ask why...anyway, been listening to podcasts on other topics quite a bit since Stern left free radio and just discovered "The Audible" here at FBGs. I was wondering what other fantasy football podcasts are out there that are any good. Any podcast listeners out there with an opinion? I searched the forums quickly, but didn't find anything...but if I missed something, or if there's an article rating the various shows, I'd be interested in reading that.

Thanks for your opinion!

I've listened to a few, and most all of them suck. To me, the footballguys podcast was the most informative of the bunch. All in all, I've found that the daily NFL update podcasts are a better font of info (I've been listening to NFL Roundtable every morning; it's pretty strong).

Any others out there. I finally got my iPod fixed and I'm starving some good football podcasts.

What ya got?

Where is NFL Roundtable available to download?

Also, does the FBG podcast contain a lot more info than is posted in Players in the News?

I found one called "Extra Points" and downloaded a few episodes of that...then listened to their "Drafting 101" show. It was filled with advice like "remember bye weeks"...in other words, not very useful.

Stick with the FootballGuys podcast. The daily news updates are more-or-less just repeats of the notable things in players in the news, but the longer weekly shows are very good and filled with great info. The week 1 review was good stuff.

Thanks for listening Conan!

Our schedule for the regular season is as follows:

Sunday night (monday posted to Itunes): recaps of the games

Wednesday night (friday posted to Itunes): passing/rushing matchups and breakdown of each game.

And don't forget Chris Smith (or myself) checking in with the DAILY FBG's News Update.

Thanks to everyone for listening! :excited:

The Audible is going on 2 times a week now. Sunday recaps and Wednesday previews with matchup breakdowns. The show is full of plenty of insight and opinion, give it a listen!

I like the daily podcasts, but that opening line gives me the fantods. "Put in your mouthpice and make sure to snap your chin strap." Ugh. You guys need to workshop that one. I'm glad the faint death metal background music was replaced with calmer tunes. That was a wise move. The older ones sounded like they were recorded in the back room of a biker bar.

Any plans for "Subscribers corner" where we can write/post questions and have one of you answer it in a podcast?

Definitely going to do this. We had a topic in assistant coach forum, but didn't get that many looks. I'll post something here in the SP.

:lol:The song was "Get Out" by Faith No More from their King for a Day, Fool for a Lifetime album. I've got some Mike Patton instrumental stuff that I can throw in there as well as the NFL films music. Will work on the intro. :bag:

Where do you find all these? The podcast link just seems to have the daily updates. Where would the Week 1 review be (the news updates on that page just go to 9/7).

Never mind, found it on the week 2 material. You may want to have all the podcast links together on the podcast page as well.

subscribing to the podcast through Itunes is the fastest way to get the updates. Example: this morning I recorded the News Update before I left for the studio. Showed up to work, got a cup of coffee, and it was already up on Itunes.

Fantasy football roundtable is absolutely painful to listen to, the guy that leads the show sounds like hes in a coma. Its all useless drivel, I need these clowns to tell me the Panthers stunk last week and Steve Smith should be downgraded????
