What's the worst movie you've ever seen? (1 Viewer)

I've walked out of:

Batman and Robin

One Crazy Summer

Dungeons and Dragons

The Sixth Man.

The latter was midflight on an airplane

I couldn't even put those in the same universe as Gravity (which, I agree, was eyerollingly non-sciencey... but still redeeming with its use of 3d) and most of the others discussed over the last few pages.

I don't remember the title and don't care enough to look it up, but there was a movie about 15 years ago with Sandra Bullock and Ben Affleck that may be the worst mainstream movie I've ever seen in a theater. She played this free-spirit, hippie chick and was just terribly miscast. An oyster would have done better than Affleck, though neither had much to work with. The whole thing was just pointless and stupid.

I've seen worse movies - horror stuff out of the 40s like "Night Of The Shrew People" or whatever, but those weren't meant to be good. That Bullock/Affleck movie was trying to be good and flunked.
Forces of Nature?I saw Affleck and immediately thought of Gigli, even though I never saw it.
That's it. I had just started dating this lady and she wanted to see it. I liked both SB & BA, so I thought it would be a pleasant way to spend some time together. Romantic comedies can be fun if done well. This one was the exact opposite of "done well".
I can't remember. Is that the one where Sandra Bullock tried to convince you to violently overthrow your government?
No she just subtlety tried to break up a doomed relationship before marriage. The sequel is gone girl.

I dunno. She lived in a beat up house and I think she had a kid

Your "worst" movie choices show that all of you are pansies.

Dude, I grew up watching Gilligan's Island and voted for Reagan. This movie can't hurt me. I'll take your challenge, but don't want the money. Donate it to bigbottom's charity.

Nvm I found santa and the ice cream bunny full film on netflix.

Do I have to watch it all in one sitting or can I make it a 2 night suckfest?

Impossible to say what the worst movie I have ever seen is. There are so many different genres. A lot of movies are terrible but didn't really try very hard to be good. For the purpose of this discussion, I will stick to movies that tried hard to be legit good movies (including employing some good actors) but failed horribly to do anything but majorly suck. Two that immediately come to mind are "The Son of No One" and "Faster". Both movies left me shaking my head asking WTF did I just watch?!?

Ill do it
Watch it, post your own review with opinions and $20 is yours. You MUST watch ALL of it.
Is this the one with the Thumbelina movie inside it, as in full-on movie-in-a-movie with a different director and credits and everything? I've never seen it, but I've heard of it and everything I've ever heard suggests you've identified a worthy competitor. I'll watch your nominee, if you watch mine ("I Know Who Killed Me"). We can compare notes.

Im ten minutes in to santa and the ive cream bunny

This is really bad. There was a kazoo score and then a scene with santa on a beach. I got woozy and had to take a break.

I need a drink for this

:lmao: I think I may want to try this out on my wife soon. What's it rated?

The film was not screened in advance for critics. I Know Who Killed Me has received extremely negative reviews from critics.[1] Rotten Tomatoes shows a 7% approval rating from critics based on 74 reviews with the consensus: "Distasteful and ludicrously plotted, I Know Who Killed Me is a career nadir for all involved -- particularly Lindsay Lohan in a dual role".[3] It currently holds a 16% rating on Metacritic, which indicates "Overwhelming dislike". Richard Roeper ranked it number one on his "Worst movies of 2007" list; a few years later, Roeper named it the worst film of the 2000s. The film received nine Razzie nominations, the most of any film that year. It won eight, including two awards for Worst Actress (Lindsay Lohan playing twins), Worst Picture, Worst Director (Chris Sivertson), Worst Screenplay (Jeff Hammond), Worst Screen Couple (Lohan and Lohan), Worst Remake or Rip-off (rip-off of Hostel, Saw and The Patty Duke Show) and a special category, Worst Excuse for a Horror Film.[4] The only award it lost was Worst Supporting Actress (Julia Ormond), who lost to Eddie Murphy for his role in drag in Norbit. The movie set a record for the most Razzie wins in a single year, previously beating the tie held by Battlefield Earth and Showgirls with seven wins each, though Battlefield Earth has surpassed eight awards with wins in subsequent years.[5] The record for most wins in a single year was broken in 2012 when Jack and Jill won ten awards.
Wow. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Didn't watch the whole film, so maybe doesn't count, but Antichrist by Lars Von Trier was NOT a good feelin', family fun film.

Its rated WTF
:lmao:
Even if you take in to consideration that its a childrens movie in 72 and the director is probably still recovering from the 60's its still unbelievable.

Then I start to think about the person who had to edit hours upon hours of footage to finish this monstrosity

Worst movie I have ever seen? Hmm, I think a better question would be worst movie you have ever seen that most people like. My answer to that would be Inglourious Basterds

The brain pain starts mere seconds in to the opening scene.

Only God Forgives

Under the Skin

Ugh
Good call on "Only God Forgives". Renf is something else for sure. I'm still going w/ "I Know Who Killed Me", but that's not a bad 1st round pick in the fantasy worst movie ever league.
Maybe i am just a total idiot but i had no idea what was going on in either movie. You know a movie has to be bad when SJ is naked and it still blows
Haven't seen "Under the Skin", but anything in which SJ gets naked by definition can't be the "worst" in anything. IKWKM is another incoherent plot with horrible actors being directed by a nincompoop.
I challenge you to watch it and tell me otherwise. Do you accept this challenge?

I prefer not to watch a movie that I know for sure will be horrific.

This is "the worst movie you have ever seen" thread, not "the worst movie ever" thread. I don't want to purposely watch what I think might be the worst movie ever.

And not in a "so bad it's good" kinda worst.

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band was an abominable film poster child at one time.

Other than the heinous direction, acting, script and editing, it could have been pretty good.

* In the movie The Z Channel, James Woods was interviewed and recounted how Once Upon A Time In America was taken out of Sergio Leone's hands and his four hour cut was butchered into an incoherent 90 minute version, causing one critic to call it one of the worst movies of the decade. Once it was restored to to Leone's vision and original length, that same critic than called it one of the best movie of the decade. Sgt. Pepper was not that kind of movie (no amount of re-editing could have salvaged it from the destined scrap heap of cinematic history).

The Troma Team production (good folks that brought you so good its bad classic Toxic Avenger) Nuke 'Em High was pretty hard to watch.

Just pick the ones that you personally thought were the worst. Simple enough
