OK, we've got a best single game performer thread going, I thought it might be fun to discuss our all-time bust picks. Try to stick with guys who you completely missed on. For ex. I don't know that I'd say Ed Reed last year was a bonehead pick since he hadn't really flashed signs that he'd disappear the way he did. Unless you took Reed WAY too early I think you can get a pass

(for the record, I didn't draft Reed).

I think my all-time worst was taking DL Sean Gilbert prior to his initial season in Carolina. If I recall correctly he was the first DL I took that season and I spent a 5th rounder on him. Ugh.

When I recall this what makes it even funnier was several other owners were pissed I got him!

I'm a dynasty guy, so these guys are obviously slanted in that direction. Two relatively high picks and guys I took ahead of studs-to-be that immediately come to mind are Marquis Smith and Barry Gardner. Lance Mitchell is also about the become a permanent member of the WTH was I thinking club.

Unfortunately my dynasty league hasn't been around long enough for any defensive picks to truly stand out as putrid. That being the case I'm pretty certain the guy who took Marcus Trufant in the 7th round of the initial draft last year would probably like to call "Do Over"

While being a long time IDP'r I knew much better but still took Lavar Arrington in a first year online league on my 1st round pick like 5th or 7th overall.....ashamed if it might have been earlier than that. He was supposibly moving to WLB and looking at a monsta year. Luckily my only IDP mistake eva other than droping guys before the blew up but that is being taken care of by countless hours of therapy.

I'm not backing off my original Sean Gilbert story but I can't believe I forgot to mention Courtney Brown. I got burned twice by this lop of poop.

In a startup dynasty two years ago, took Kearse waaaaay too early.

Sean Taylor last year with a 1st round pick. :sigh:
