When do I make a move? (1 Viewer)

I am in a 10 team keeper/prospects league. We keep 3 keepers and get to keep 8 propsects each season. The top prospects available this year in the draft are Jesus Montero, Dustin Ackley, and Martin Perez. What rounds do I start considering going after these guys? Is round 10 too early? My starting lineup is almost completed.We are at the stage of the draft in which the elite players are gone. Any advice here? I am new to this type of league.

When did they start going last year? I would think that Round 10 is way too late if your starters are almost complete. I am in a similar league... 5 Major Keepers, 4 keeper Minors...Strassburg and chapman went in round three this year. Heyward was first off the board first last year in round 5.

They started going around round 9 last year. That is where we are now and Montero just went in front of me. Sickening. Wow Heyward in round 5? I would have said way too early but it looks like that wasn't too early for Heyward the way he is lighting it up.
