Curious, when you guys prefer to hold your redraft drafts. Obviously, each has a their up and down side. Looking to here some opinions.

Edit: To clarify, I mean more like. Do you prefer to wait so you don't get screwed with a big injury or do you prefer to draft early while a lot of value exists still?

While I'd *prefer* to draft after all the preseason games are done from a fantasy perspective, my leagues all draft in-person. We like to leave Memorial Day for the families, so we're always drafting the weekend before.

Either after week 2 or 3.

Since pre season weeks are scheduled the way they are, I scheduled the drafts for my leagues on the Sun that is in the middle of pre season week 3 (almost always do weekends in the mid morning)

In my dynasty leagues, I like to hold rookie drafts after week 3 of the preseason. I like that it heightens anticipation and I find that it results in a bit more action during the offseason. It also makes it easier to find guys like Alfred Morris, though some will view that as a negative instead of a positive.

For redraft, I'm really okay with any time from May until September. Each has its own pros and cons. I really like slow message board drafts, and in my longest-running redraft league we'll usually kick off in late July and wrap up near the end of preseason. It makes later rounds more interesting because just when you think all the value has been mined, someone will start to distinguish himself during preseason and give you an extra name to target.

We did our first staff mock of the season at the end of June last year. Not to toot my own horn, but I kind of sort of crushed it. Makes me wonder if that was a one-time fluke or if I should be doing more of my drafts in late June / early July.

Before training camp. Get my sleepers before others catch wise to them. We all share the same injury risk.

Same reason I like my rookie draft the day after the real thing and my college taxi draft before summer camps start.
