When does the Matt Flynn era begin and when that day comes do both Thompson and McCarthy have to go? Not sure when the love affair the media has with Rodgers is going to end but my guess is this will happen before the end of the season. Thompson and McCarthy made what would have to be one of the top five mistakes in sports history so it appears their fate is sealed as well. Another question is did Ron Wolfe make the final decision to hire Thompson and McCarthy? Can't imagine a man with Wolfe's IQ would hire these two so I'm curious who needs to be held accountable. I understand Farve has been been made into the villian but I think the Packer fans are going to have to wonder what could have been.

Wolf...nevermind. :banned:

it has begun!

1-10 GB24 :-)15) M.Flynn FUMBLES (Aborted) at GB 24, recovered by GB-J.Kuhn at GB 24.

Guess I'll just stay out of this altogether but I can remember back having to listen to Matt Millien and next thing you know the guy is a GM. Always figured it would be hard for a pro team to make that kind of mistake but this has to be right there. Can see by the posts that Rodgers still has a huge fan backing but for the life of me I just don't get it.

a "rookie" QB had a bad game on the roadHANG HIM !

No kidding the defense gets 50+ hung on them and somehow that is Rodgers' fault. It is amazing to me how much so called Packers fans want Rodgers to fail.

I don't think they want him to fail necessarily. They just want to somehow justify that Favre would have made a difference. It's pretty obvious that defense is the biggest problem.

I don't agree with the top post - Rodgers has been very good this year and it looks like he will be around for years to come - but some adjustment was made last night. The Saints DB's jumped on at least 3 passes in the exact same part of the field, some adjustment was made by the Saints defensive coordinators (that's saying a lot folks) and it was not made by McCarthy and his OC. That was not just a first year QB in a hostile environment on the road, that was McCarthy getting outcoached and it looked all the world to me like the Saints' D figured out Rodgers was telegraphing something.

As an aside, regardless of the posts about the poster's attitude, there were quite a few Packers fans (as always) at the game last night and this "attitude was shared by a few. Pretty amusing to see all the Favre Jets No. 4 unies being worn, saw maybe 3 during the evening, and Thompson's name was roundly cursed. Right or wrong, I doubt this guy is alone in his feelings in Packerdom.

This just proves the old adage. When the team loses, the most popular player on the roster is the backup QB.

And yes, I'll pile on and say the original poster is an idiot. No offense or anything

Flynn should have been aborted. How is he even on an NFL roster is beyond me.
Yakow, I think he was going to be a dentist, seriously. But then he won a national championship (and he was very good). Surprised as anyone he stuck in GB, but they must have seen something they liked.

What was the point of this bump, the topic is stupid but was made by an obvious Farve fan. Nothing better to do?
