Who will start when Fragile Freddy gets injured??
WTF??? A 35 man roster???How many teams in your league? How many roster positions start??? I'd be curious to see your entire roster...Who will start when Fragile Freddy gets injured??Thanks for posting this... some sites show Wimbush as the back-up because they've been using a 3-receiver set. Some sites show Toefield as the back-up and some have him as #4 behind Taylor, Jones-Drew, and Wimbush. I wish Greg Jones would not have gone down for the season.CBS Sportsline does a good job of telling you how a player does each week, if they were even active, and whether or not you should have him on your roster. Toefield was inactive for Wk 2 against PIT. Wimbush and Jones-Drew were the only active RB's behind Taylor. Last year, Greg Jones got a lot of work as the feature back when Taylore went down. I have a feeling it would be RBBC if Taylor got hurt since Jones is out.I have Taylor, Jones, Toefield, and Jones-Drew... I had Taylor, Jones and Toefield to start the season and picked up Jones-Drew in a big trade deal (we have 35-man rosters).

I play in a 12 team, 35 man roster w/ 3 practice squad players. This is an IDP league, of course. We start 8 offensive, 8 defensive and a kicker.WTF??? Who will start when Fragile Freddy gets injured??
Of course, this is not uncommon. I play in several 16 team leagues with 35 or 40 man rosters (IDP) and 13 man practice squads. I also play in a 32 team 35 active/8 practice squad where almost everyone rostered in the league is rostered (save for o-linemen) ...There is literally no NFL information that is not relevant in my 32 team league ...I play in a 12 team, 35 man roster w/ 3 practice squad players. I think it was more assumptive than wishful fwiw.Don't know who the runner will be, but I have noticed MJD throw down some nice blitz pick-up blocks to save Lefty's ####. Esp. for a smaller guy. That will buy him PT with Del Rio.Who will start when Fragile Freddy gets injured??Karma, my friend....karma.
People who call him fragile don't know what they are talking about. It's just a cute little nickname that people who don't know football use. You can tell that people still think he's fragile, because there haven't been 3 people who quote you and then put that lame "good posting" smilie face as their post. I guess the cute nickname would have to go away then if facts mattered, and the type of people who post smilies really enjoy cute nicknames even if they aren't true. He didn't look too fragile against the Steelers, in fact he carved them up. There is a reason Jim Brown sees him as the best RB in the NFL.I'm almost sure someone will quote me and put a good posting smilie icon up. Let me just say in advance, very clever.only missed 7 games in 4+ years = not so fragile freddy anymore.
Ummm...I bought into that thinking last year.Kinda burnt me...and anyone else, don't you think. Plus it's not the games he missed, it's the 3 carries for 13 yards games that he comes out of that kill every former FT owner.People who call him fragile don't know what they are talking about. I hope you are right. I am buying into Fred Taylor this year, I failed to get him in my big $$ league, and just navigated a trade to pick him up, I loved how he showed up for TC in great shape, LOVED how he abused the Steelers.....People who call him fragile don't know what they are talking about. Correct. I have said the same thing a few times on this forum. I picked him up as my rb#3 and and pretty high on him this year. I would try and trade him but I hear the same thing from my leaguemates every time "it's only a matter of time before Fragile breaks down". I am getting better offers for T.Bell. I am hoping for one great game by Tater because I will be able to get a good WR (I am weak there and RB's are a premium in my league) and still have Westy, R.Brown and "Fragile" as my RB's. Right now I am sitting on 3 of the top 5 in a must start 2 league.People who call him fragile don't know what they are talking about. He missed 5 games last year and twice he didn't even stick around long enough to get ten carries. 7 games is more than half an FF seasonPeople who call him fragile don't know what they are talking about. People on this message board were the same way about Edge James when he got hurt years ago. The guy had almost never been hurt in his career, but folks were calling him Edgerrina and Edgina and poking fun. The same people are doing it with Chris (Chrissy) Brown now. I never understood how calling a professional athlete a women made anyone feel better. I guess maybe Jim Rome could answer the question.People who call him fragile don't know what they are talking about. It's just a cute little nickname that people who don't know football use. girly nicknames aside, as an avid Jags fan you recall the times he's missed and played probably all to well, right?Age and # of games last year, would you be sure to back him up in FF maybe moreso than edge?(forget the nicknames just a Q)People on this message board were the same way about Edge James when he got hurt years ago. He also had major knee surgury that off season. He came back from the surgury amazingly fast, maybe too fast. But where were the "Fragile" Fred people when he toughed it up and made a go of it from opening day even after the surgury? Bottomline is people around here call Fred "Fragile" mostly because his injuries have cost them fantasy games or titles. His knee blowing out or his hamstring popping while actually playing football, wasn't convient to their fantasy football plans. So that means Fred is "fragile" I guess. He missed 5 games last year and twice he didn't even stick around long enough to get ten carries. 7 games is more than half an FF seasonPeople who call him fragile don't know what they are talking about. I drafted Fred in one league and traded for him in another. I have no concerns about his toughness now. Early in his career, and he's even admitted this, he did not play through injuries as often as he could have. But that was a long time ago. He hates the Fragile Fred thing so much now I think he'd try to play with just about any injury. He wanted to comeback a few games before Del Rio let him play last season. The guy is in the best shape he's been in in many years and has a bigtime chip on his shoulder. Sure he could still get hurt, but I have no problem betting on him.girly nicknames aside, as an avid Jags fan you recall the times he's missed and played probably all to well, right?Age and # of games last year, would you be sure to back him up in FF maybe moreso than edge?(forget the nicknames just a Q)People on this message board were the same way about Edge James when he got hurt years ago. I don't disagree with that. As you probably could tell I was just trying to ask a genuine Q and skip the nickname BS. No overreacting just...he missed a good amount of time last year and in RB years he's considerred old or older.Bottomline is people around here call Fred "Fragile" mostly because his injuries have cost them fantasy games or titles. I mean, one year he made a cut and the some ligament in his groin literally tore off the bone. In my opinion he really never was "fragile".I was actually very impressed with the cuts he was making last week. looked very good.Wadsworth said:I drafted Fred in one league and traded for him in another.
