0-8, season is obviously been lost for a few weeks now. You have the bye week to prepare him, Buffalo at home coming up. If they don't start him next game then someone needs to smack Cam and his staff up side the head.

His starting WRs are Marty Booker, Derek Hagan, and the rookie Ginn. Does anyone think Beck will do anything worth noting for fantasy purposes? No RB either. Ouch... Like throwing a sheep to the wolves.

Not expecting much from him from a fantasy prospective. More they need to see if he has the makings of an NFL QB or if they need to go after Brohm or Ryan with the top 2 or 3 pick they will have.

Cam's job is on the line so Beck is going to play, so at least Cam can look like he knows what he is doing in the drafts. He pushed for Ginn, and Beck...they have to show something or he is likely gone after one season. Heizenga had been pretty quiet most of the season but did not come out and endorse Cam after the 0-7 start...said he won't commit to anything right now....I really think he'll fire Cam is Miami can't do something down the stretch...or show some signs of life.

MOP Cam's job isn't on the line
It most certainly is...slowly the radio stations are startying to finally get on him. Running gadget plays in that weather yesterday did not help. They were running the ball well, why not keep pounding with Chatman and Cobbs...they probably could have won the game had they done that. Cam Cameron is not helping things, sorry folks, but they are 0-8...you think if they go 0-16 his job is not on the line? You are fooling yourself.

if going 0-16 doesn't get a guy fired then marty schottenheimer should sue the NFL. hell he went 14-2 and lost to a perennial super bowl favorite b/c of a hellacious play by troy brown and got canned

Huizenga has made it clear to all the press in London that he is looking at EVERYONE in the organization including coaches, scouts, players, EVERYONE.

Dolphins about to evaluate themselves

LONDON -- Last week I wrote in The Herald a story saying the Dolphins will do a self-evaluation during the bye week and running through the end of the season.

You'll be hearing more about that evaluation in the coming days because Wayne Huizenga today confirmed that process is about to begin when the team returns to South Florida.

Per Huizenga, the length and breadth of this evaluation process will go beyond the typical self-scouting most teams do during the bye week. It will evaluate coaches, pro and college scouts, and personnel decisions as well as players.

The idea is this: The Dolphins believe they are about to enter a pivotal offseason in which they will own more draft picks and higher picks than most teams -- the Dolphins already own three picks in the first two rounds. The team also expects to have a lot of cap room for free agency, between $20-25 million.

So Huizenga doesn't want to squander that on decision-makers he has no confidence in. That is the reason the evaluation is starting now. Simply, Huizenga doesn't want to start figuring out if he needs to whack some people in January because he might either be in hiring mode or getting a jump on free agency and the draft mode at that point.

I think Dom Capers should be fired out of that bunch. I heard he was the one that asked for big money to get Joey Porter who really has not showed anything on the field other than off the field. When Cam came in, Capers was not his guy and already had been filled in as the defensive coordinator.

Other than that, I think Cam deserves another year. His only "questionable" move would probably be getting Trent Green. Not a horrible decision, but you certainly would not want to start the season with Cleo Lemon. There's no way Culpepper would have been able to run that offense. Every guy they traded away or let go has not done better other than Wes Welker (however I do not question that trade at the time and think Wes is more of product of the system). I think everyone on the offense side of the ball is much better than they were last year, including Ronnie Brown. So clearly he knows something about offense. His only challenge is really not to outsmart himself.

Don't forget this team starting with 10 rookies on the roster at the start of the year.
